The Truman Show (1998)

movie - The Truman Show - Truman Burbank
Truman Burbank (Jim Carrey)

While I had a vague idea about the movie's premise, I had absolutely no idea about its plot. As such, I was in for treat, as the story was interesting and deep. The film kept me engaged with the story and did a good job of making it seem believable. While not as good as Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004), which would sit in a theoretical list of my top ten favorite movies, The Truman Show would definitely be good enough to make it to a theoretical top fifty.

Truman's wife Meryl (Laura Linney)

As of 20180216, Netflix determined the movie for me as a 98% match. I decided to give the movie a thumbs up.

Instant Comments:
Wow, it's so hard to watch him have to live this kind of life. (In the sense of imagining this situation was real.)
The seed of his desire to go to Fiji. That man's gonna be fired, haha.

So after the radio malfunction, it starts to seem like the show's intention is to give Truman hints of an exterior world. Though whether or not this is the case is uncertain.
I didn't notice what he noticed about the wedding photo. Apparently her fingers were crossed.
"I have to go to Fuji. And I'll call her when I get there."
Hahaha! "Here, let me help you with that."
"Same road..."

Cristof (Ed Harris)

If I were him, I'd have caused crazier mayhem earlier.
"Do something!" She's fired. Haha.
Wait, that's a lie. Truman already truly wanted to leave. But they used physical force to keep him back. How does one escape physical force?
"That one's for free."
Well... when you send a search crew like that out, it's just too obvious. What would they expect to explain to him.

Ha, "cue the sun."
"Is that the best you can do? You'll have to kill me!"
"You never had a camera in my head!"
