20130829:
After watching The Muppet Movie (1979) and Something's Gotta Give (2003), I was ready to watch another James Bond movie. They will expire on Netflix; time is running low!

This movie was more interesting than Diamonds are Forever (1971), though perhaps not much more so. While the Bond girl was uninteresting, I liked the villain Scaramanga (Christopher Lee) and his henchman Nick Nack.

Scaramanga (Christopher Lee)

While not as incompetent as the Bond girl in Diamonds are Forever, Mary Goodnight wasn't as cool as Tracy from On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969).

Overall, I definitely liked this movie, and if I had the opportunity, I would watch it again. Yes, Goodnight is dumb, but I suppose it adds some humor to the movie and her interaction with Bond isn't as important as Bond's interaction with Scaramanga.

Yay the gun barrel opening.
Ha. Three nipples.
I think he was drinking Guinness.
In some sense Bond is in the pre-credits.

James Bond, sort of.

I wonder what prompted her to be so nosy as opposed to just protecting the device.
"She's just coming sir."
"Goodnight, Sir."
The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) is mentioned at the end of the credits.

Bond: Good morning. How's the water?
???: Why don't you come in and find out?
Bond: Sounds very tempting, Miss...?
???: Chew Mee.
Bond: Really? Well, there's only one small problem: I have no swimming trunks.
Chew Mee: Neither have I.
