20180510:
While the story wasn't great, I enjoyed the action in the film.
Actually, I also like the characters themselves, especially Krauss, who was mysterious and interesting.
Overall, I don't know anything about the character outside of Hellboy: Blood and Iron (2007) and the first film (2004), but I do know that this movie set itself up for a sequel that isn't coming; a reboot to be released in 2019 was announced in 2017. This factors into my decision to not recommend the film unless you absolutely loved the first film.
Netflix determined the movie for me as a 99% match. I decided to give the movie neither a thumbs up nor a thumbs down.
Instant Comments:
"Like a shadow." Comes back for another. "Like a shadow... in the night."
Haha. "Still the same channel."
Haha. Like a shadow.
I wonder if they pat him down.
Really? The King's best warriors could barely put up a fight?
Hmm. Why would it eat the cat in public.
That's cool. When Krauss releases his entire self out of the suit.
"I'm not a baby, I'm a tumor."
Honestly, it's the evil guy's fault that this creature has to die. Although I'm wondering if the creature had a way to reproduce.
Tecate.
If it's his destiny to destroy the world, then it's necessarily his destiny to live.
When will Hellboy remember that he should challenge Nuada.
Hehe. "Industriable, my ass."
Why should Krauss controlling one of the monsters be any more strong than one of the monsters? [eventually he's taken down. maybe it had to do with intelligence]
"Yes. yes. He is Anung-un-Rama, Son of the Fallen One. He has the right."
All this time. No one thought to just destroy the crown.
