Hansel & Gretel are left in the woods by their father where they wander and come upon a house of candy. They begin to eat and are consequently trapped by an evil witch.
Fortunately, they manage to kill their captor and subsequently become famous witch hunters. While Hansel now has diabetes due to the amount of candy he was forced to eat, the siblings are immune to magic, a trait that helps their trade.
In any case, the movie continues years later in a town where witches have been abducting children. There the mayor hires Hansel and Gretel to retrieve the abducted children. As the story progresses, the siblings find themselves up against a grand witch named Muriel. Fortunately, Hansel and Gretel get some assistance along the way.
20130601:
After having watched Robot & Frank (2012) and Jack Reacher (2012), I decided to watch Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters. One nice thing I have to say about this movie is that it has some cool fight scenes. Perhaps if you like violence, then I would half-heartedly recommend this movie to you.
Actually, if you like The Brothers Grimm (2005), then you might also enjoy Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters. While the two movies are similar in genre and quality, I inexplicably enjoy The Brothers Grimm more. With that being said, I could see how some people might like Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters more than The Brothers Grimm.

20150315:
I let this play in the background. Though I did notice some things. In particular, paying less attention to the details meant that I noticed the movie's gore a lot more. Even the opening credits has a decent amount of gore. Of course, it helped that the movie was playing on a regular computer monitor instead of a dinky, poorly lit airplane monitor.
