Charade (1963)

20130608:
Having enjoyed three other movies by Audrey Hepburn*, I decided to give this one a watch as well.

movie - Charade - Peter (Cary Grant) and Regina Lampert (Audrey Hepburn)
Peter (Cary Grant) and Regina Lampert (Audrey Hepburn)

The film begins with Regina "Reggie" Lampert (Audrey Hepburn) who plans on divorcing her husband Charles. However, upon her return to Paris, she's been told that Charles was murdered and they give her his bag which contained a letter, various passports, and some other things. As the story progresses, Regina learns some men are after some money said to be in the possession of her late husband. Thinking she now has the money, they threaten her for it. To complicate matters, a man named Peter (Cary Grant) who she met in Paris is helping to protect her, but it's not clear whether his motives are good or bad.

The plot is well written and the movie was exciting to watch. I loved all the plot twists and if you love a good mystery, then I would definitely recommend you watch this one starring Hepburn and Grant.

*Roman Holiday (1953), Funny Face (1957), and Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961).

Haha. "You're blocking my view." "Oh, oh. Which view would you prefer?" "The one you're blocking."
Haha. "What's this got to do with the C.I.O.?" "C.I.A., Ms. Lampert."
There’s an old riddle about two tribes of Indians. The Whitefeet always tell the truth and the Blackfeet always lie. So one day you meet an Indian, you say, "Hey Indian, what are you, a truthful Whitefoot or a lying Blackfoot?" He says, "I’m a truthful Whitefoot." But which is he?
Hahaha. "Naturally."

Mentions An American in Paris. "Wouldn't it be nice if we were like that?" [...] "No, Gene Kelly. You remember when he danced down here by the river in An American in Paris without a care in the world?"
Notre Dame. I took a bunch of pictures while in Paris, but I was never sure which one was Notre Dame. The boat was suppose to come around to it, but the water level was too high for it to clear a bridge.
The ending was real exciting.
