Rear Window (1954)

20100608:
There is emphasis on the fact that every detail means something. And that's admirable. The movie is a little slow paced, but it's a good movie. Though the more movies I watch, the more I find many of them have been based on something else. This movie was based on Cornell Woolrich's 1942 short story It Had to Be Murder. Good ending.

The credits in this movie, like in Gone with the Wind (1939), are at the beginning. But at the end, "Amore" plays during a pitch black screen.

Special Features:
We watched Rear Window Ethics: An Original Documentary. I was nodding off to parts of it, since it was getting late. There was a lot of interesting information pertaining to the making of the movie and of Alfred Hitchcock's style of filming.
Then we watched the re-release trailer narrated by James Stewart and then we watched the theatrical trailer. But apparently, the theatrical trailer wasn't the original theatrical trailer, because it made mention of Hitchcock's Psycho, which came after Rear Window.
