While it was neat to see Jay (Will Smith) as the top agent and handling business, I thought the movie's overall story was weak and failed to be as good as the first movie, Men in Black (1997).
With that being said, if you like the first movie and plan to watch or have already watched Men in Black 3 (2012), then you might as well watch Men in Black II for plot purposes.
