[Part of TV Series: Merlin]

Today I watched two episodes which I seemed to have not watched. Though maybe I did and simply did not record doing so, while simultaneously forgetting anything about them. In any case, I eventually recalled the ending to the series, but I didn't remember how that made any sense as there's this prophecy of Arthur reuniting Albion. A person made this comment in a Reddit post: "At the end of the series you see an old Merlin in modern day UK (Albion) which means he succeeded. There were many "Arthurs" per se and Merlin was to continue to help that King every step till the next and so on and so forth until Albion was finally united."

yesterday s5e1 and s5e2. interesting I didnt expect Merlin to ask about the Bane and get that answer. Though what was with the vision about Mordred. So easy to become a knight... just by saving Arthur's life... Arthur should be a little more picky. s5e3 today. Uther says "Merlin has..." ; haha ending with the slap.

s5e4. morgana disheveled look. mithian did not have such a caretaker last time. morgana using a similar old person as merlin. as arthur is making plans and gaius disagrees Gwen have some thoughts [she brings it up later]. i thought gaius would recognize morganas eyes but instead he just makes an observation about age. Ada thinks she wrote something in bottle or on bottle. ah... makes sense why she was having a wash earlier.

hehe a little gaius magic. ada wondered why morgana doesn't catch on that Everytime her plans are foiled arthur is there. I initially answered that he's a servant and she's royalty so she wouldnt expect it. I later thought he hides it so well. so many times she's attacked him like in this episode. to someone who doesnt know, if he was a sorceror then he would retaliate with magic, but he does not so logically someone would assume he does not have magic.

a couple hours ago we watched s5e5 and s5e6. I'm a little surprised Merlin made the choice he did. For once he heeded the dragon. Of course if one believes in destiny then all these actions seem set in stone. Very curious how Mordred will turn. It's like it'll happen but we dont know why and how. I figured in this episode Mordred almost succeeded in getting Arthur to free magic in Camelot. In the next episode I cant help but feel like Morgana s attempt to kill Arthur is convoluted.

the other day (1/30) we watched s5e7. it was interesting to see Gwen so evil. Sometimes it's interesting to have Merlin know what's up but not say anything. The ending of this episode with Gwen being applauded instead of unraveled was annoying. It over looks the fact that she blamed Merlin. Who then, now that Merlin was pardoned, was responsible for killing Tyr and poisoning Arthur, the potions man was the supplier and Morgana herself did not have access to Arthur's food.
20200202 10PM:
s5e8. hmm. why didnt morgana just kill him? s5e9. we laughed at gaius suggesting women. we laughed at gwen fall on bread. dochraid. haha merlins coverup for the dropped clothes. hehe arthur says she looks familiar.
20200203 9PM:
s5e10. see Morgana killed alator but she did not kill merlin in previous episode.
20200203 10PM:
s5e11. unfortunate for merlin that he didnt tell but mordred thinks he did. ada thinks when Arthur talks about mordred s footpirnts that mordred realizes, im not sure, they did pan to his reaction. merlin speaks out for mordred. only time will tell. she leaves out the part where she tried to kill arthur. oh, he says "i know you did not betray me before". Merlin's logic here doesnt entirely make sense... it does seem like this will likely make things worse... oh well destiny is destiny. arthur wont let them go so I think merlin would set them free... darn, arthur allowed her to repent, and technically what she said was true but that's partially arrogance and or pride. oh shoot, mordred reveals merlin to morgana
20200207 11PM:
s5e12 haha merlin chesting. oh surely that girl is asking too many questions. (lol!!! why wouldnt she just kill him?!? stupid morgana) look on gwains face after arthur speaks. lol Ada laughs at this just believe trope and that he didnt have to go the crystal cave. ah, a benefit of the crystal cave, future reading and or present plus this dream sending.
20200208 6PM:
s5e13we started the episode yesterday but finished it today. the end is interesting in that it gives an opportunity for a sequel one day. but I suppose unlikely
