Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers (2004)

20170607:
First, I realized today as I was preparing myself to watch this movie by filling in a blog template that it's not "Musk A teer" but "Musk E teer" and that it must be so named for the root "musket." This turned out to be correct; according to Wikipedia, "a musketeer was a type of soldier equipped with a musket." Thus, despite the strong association I had of musketeers wielding rapiers, the Three Musketeers would have used muskets in certain situations.

Netflix determined the movie for me as a 58%* match. I decided to give the movie neither a thumbs up nor a thumbs down.

*If I recall, just yesterday it was below the 56% match cutoff. But I think a lot of the percentages switched around on account of recent changes to "My List" and viewing history.

Instant Comments:
Interesting way to start the story (with the turtle becoming a narrator and telling the story he has on hand: The Three Musketeers).
Lol. "They need guys like me who are brave." "Yeah, and they need guys who are brave, too."

Ha! "Keep her safe" not "Drop a safe"
Clarabelle (Cow)
"All for one..." "And two for 'T'"
He counts the march in French. "Hut, deux, trois, quatre."
Lol. Goofy's plan worked. (remembers his entrance)
Lol. "Oh! Look Daisy! Mickey and I have the same last name!"
Hehehe. Daisy pokes fun at Donald; complete with her own imitation of his voice

"Donald, I can't understand a word you're saying." - Mickey to Donald. (While difficult, I could understand what Donald said, and Mickey's confusion was certainly for comedic effect.) [The Disney wiki refers to this: "As a running gag in most of Donald's appearances, mostly in animation, the other characters around him (especially Mickey) prove to have difficulties understanding the duck, especially when he's upset or in a panic, often pointing it out, much to Donald's frustration."]
I guess at this point, now that Donald abandoned Mickey and Mickey got kidnapped, that Donald will save Goofy and the two will save Mickey, and then the three will save Minnie.
Lol. But it seems Goofy might be able to save himself by seducing Clarabelle.

Haha. So my prediction was wrong. In some sense, Goofy saves Donald. "I'll be a musketeer when cows fall from the sky."
The opera singer sings "Major-General's Song." I recognized this song from Animaniacs, where it's parodied by Yakko as "I am the Very Model of a Cartoon Individual." Until now, I didn't realize Yakko's song was parody.
