A news producer Aaron Rapaport (Seth Rogen) and interviewer Dave Skylark (James Franco) land an interview with Kim Jong-Un (Randall Park). When the FBI hear about this, they contact Rapaport and Skylark and request that they assassinate him.
While the two agree to comply with the request, Kim befriends Skylark and he backs out of the plan. Meanwhile, a twist is thrown into the plot and things get interesting.

To start this entry, I would like to express that I certainly didn't care for all the commotion caused by the lack of theatrical release that accompanied this movie.
While its a financial shame, the awkward release conditions did not suddenly create a desire for me to watch the movie.
With that being said, I did hear it was worth watching at least once and with its availability on Netflix, I decided to give it a chance.
With references to Lord of the Rings, jokes about celebrities, and many sex-related jokes, The Interview possesses quite a range of comedy.
While some jokes were repetitive and some which fell flat, the movie was funny enough to warrant watching at least once.
And perhaps the movie contained some deep, meaningful messages, but all I really got out of it was two new verbs (honeypot/honeydick) and that its okay to like Katy Perry and drink margaritas.
