Hot Fuzz (2007)

My unfamiliarity with Simon Pegg and the title "Hot Fuzz" kept me from watching this comedy which was on My List. But Netflix rated the movie for me at 95% and as I attempted to clear out My List, or at least shorten it, I decided to give the movie a watch.

PC Danny Butterman (Nick Frost) and Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg)

The movie was humorous, and unlike some films, it didn't seem like they were trying too hard.

Overall, I was surprised, due to my own expectations, that the movie was enjoyable. While it's been a while since I've seen either Lethal Weapon (1987) or Bad Boys (1995), I feel it's better than Bad Boys and possibly just as good as Lethal Weapon.

Netflix determined the movie for me as a 95% match. I decided to give the movie a thumbs up.

Inspector Frank Butterman (Jim Broadbent)

Instant Comments:
I like how the movie sets up/details his exceptional skill.
Ha,"Does Bob look like the person who I would date? It's Dave." (they're both covered in white so they look the same)
"You do realize the windows broken from the inside."
Haha. "Hag." Great follow up to "Fascist"
Lol. The entire pub was filled with underage drinkers. [Oh, except for the one man.]

Simon Skinner (Timothy Dalton)

Huh. Yeah... interesting. If they found him exceptional (and annoying in the city), to have him here in the country should make quite a movie.
Asks about Die Hard 2 and Bad Boys II. "You ain't seen Bad Boys II?"
Supercop (Jackie Chan)
He used the term "collision"! He listens.
Point Break and Bad Boys II
Ah, nice. I remembered the ketchup packet.

Met Sergeant (Martin Freeman), Met Police Inspector (uncredited, Steve Coogan)

Lol. I was curious if he was just gonna kill him.
Holy shit. He just took the whole stash (except the mine)
That was an amazing shootout.
I didn't realize the Met Sergeant was Martin Freeman until the end of the movie.
