Cool Runnings (1993)

20170520:
I would have to say I had my doubts about Netflix's 97% match for Cool Runnings. On the one hand, it was part of My List. On the other hand, I've placed plenty of movies in My List which I've passed on.

Derice Bannock (Leon)

Netflix determined the movie for me as a 97% match. I decided to give the movie a thumbs up.

Instant Comments:
I was interested in the rules of obstruction and someone answered the following: "The impeded runner will probably ask for a re-race or for an automatic qualification and the committee will study the single case."
Red Stripe.

Yul Brenner (Malik Yoba), Junior Bevil (Rawle D. Lewis), and Sanka Coffie (Doug E. Doug)

He says the Olympics are in three months, but does that mean the Winter Olympics or Summer Olympics? And is that qualifications or what?
"The back is nice." (after the coach tells them how much responsibility the driver has)
They got it together! (Well of course seeing as this is a movie where we expect them to reach the Olympics)

The team practicing down a dirt hill.

Oh I see. They automatically qualify as representatives for their country.
Earlier I said, like obviously they would make it, yet I couldn't help but feel tense with their qualification run.
Him standing up to his father was a heartfelt moment.

Irv (John Candy)

That's such a wonderful ending. Holding back the tears. When the crowd was clapping it reduced the tension. His dad in the crowd increased the tension back a bit.
