Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001)

20170511:
I thought I had seen this movie before, and perhaps I've seen snippets, but I don't recall seeing any of it.

Milo James Thatch (Michael J. Fox) and Princess 'Kida' Kidagakash (Cree Summer)

In any case, the movie lacks a sense of wonder. For example, when the crew first see Atlantis, that would have been a great moment to display an awe-inspiring sight. Instead, the scenery was underwhelming.

Furthermore, the plot arguably involves a deus ex machina.

Overall, the movie is one of Walt Disney Animation Studios's worse films. While I wouldn't give it a thumbs down on Netflix, I also wouldn't recommend it.

Netflix determined the movie for me as a 95% match. I decided to give the movie neither a thumbs up nor a thumbs down.

Because I didn't remember the movie being produced by Disney, I was surprised when I saw the Disney logo.

Well... it's clever but I doubt ancient languages would translate to modern English words, especially names of countries
"My cat?" "Meow."
"Beans, bacon, whiskey, and lard."
Haha. Double parking.
