At fifteen minutes into the movie, I started feeling that I had seen it before. I began to recognize various plot elements and characters. It was, however, upon seeing Detective Kitano and hearing about illegal immigrants work the sewer line that I was sure I had already seen the movie. For some reason, I don't recall seeing any part of the movie prior to 17 minute mark.
In general, I had trouble following parts of the movie and didn't like the overall theme. I also disliked the ending of the movie, but I would have to admit that it's an appropriate one.
