20130122:
I've seen this movie so many times as both a kid and an adult. In fact, I own the DVD! But watching the film on Netflix is convenient and I realized I can take a screenshot or two to fill the page.
I love the music in this movie and I love the classic Disney animation.

I previously wrote the following (with some minor edits):
However, the statement is misleading (and arguably wrong). In particular, it was almost as if I was saying that The Aristocats is a rip-off of Lady and the Tramp.
Instead, it is a fact that the protagonists in The Aristocats are cats (with dogs appearing in the movie as well) and the protagonists in Lady and the Tramp are dogs (with cats appearing in the movie as well). Furthermore, the movies as a whole are dissimilar.
Short Plot Summary to The Aristocats: A mother cat named Duchess and her three children are abducted. An alley cat named Thomas O'Malley helps them return home. Along the way, the two fall in love.
Short Plot Summary to Lady and the Tramp: A dog named Lady is framed for misbehavior and she's brought to the pet shop to get a muzzle put on. She runs away and a stray dog named Tramp helps her out. They begin to fall in love.
Thus, the only similarity between the two movies is that the protagonists are (non-anthropomorphic) animals (true for many Disney movies) and romance (also true for many Disney movies).

The movies shares plot elements with Disney's Lady and the Tramp (1955), except replacing dogs with cats. With that being said, the romance between the protagonists is more straightforward and doesn't happen over the course of a love song.
