Zombieland: Double Tap (2019)

I decided not to re-watch Zombieland and just go straight to watching this sequel. From my viewing, I feel this was fine. I don't think there's particularly any tidbit from the first movie that's critical to understanding this movie.

With that being said, I found the movie's finale was a stretch.

how would a place that doesn't allow guns survive? literally any violent group could just take over (the group wants to enter); also earlier there was a big group of zombies chasing after the car... so I felt that must have been some sort of foreshadowing
if they melted his gun, what weapon does he have?

when I first saw this character I felt he seemed familiar but I just couldn't remember where [though after looking him up, Victor Rivera, I didn't recognize any of his credits on IMDb]
