Bubble (2022)

20240624:
By the end of the movie I was confused as to what really happened. The way it was told it doesn't quite make sense. Somehow he angered the bubbles, but when Uta returns to bubble form it counters all the red bubbles and they dissipate. So what happened all this time between past and present? Was Uta preventing the bubbles from returning to normal? It seems like a big flaw. So yeah. The fictional story from that point of view seems mediocre. Also touching the red bubbles was supposed to be bad but it seems Hibiki did touch some red bubbles.

While the story had flaws, the parkour was fun to watch. Also the sound was great and the action was great.

Sometimes the story was too explicit. Like she read The Little Mermaid and then kept explaining the parallels between the movie and The Little Mermaid. So there's a guideline in writing: "show me don't tell me" and I think the movie focused too much on telling me when they should have showed me.

Rating: 3.8/5

1b: hibiki's followup with his face to face woth teammate part was cool and the subsequent moves were not as graceful but the teammate part was cool.

1b: I was about to ask what good is it for them to go as a team but then the bridge was collapsing and three of them held it for hibiki and kai
1b: hehe the boost jump shattered shin's mechanical leg... likely for drama as he put it through what seemed like greater force early
