Marvin's Room features a solid cast as well as a solid story. If you like dramas that are thematically family-based, then I would recommend you watch Marvin's Room.
Note that Marvin's Room has a heavy moment or two, but overall its a light drama, especially compared to Ordinary People (1980), another drama which focuses on the family.
Instant Comments:

Ha. "Charlie, here. Light this for him please."
Ha! "I think he thinks he's hallucinating."
Twenty years!
Ha! "Eight-six!"
Hehe. That garage door.
Haha. The relationship between Lee and her sons.
The fight at the fifty-nine minute mark was intense.
Wow. That's quite a plot revelation.
"My feelings for you, Hank, are like a big bowl of... fish hooks. I can't just pick up one up at a time. I pick one up and they all come, so I just had to leave 'em alone."
Haha. Goofy carried her to Mickey's house.
