Once Upon a Time in the West (1968)

This movie was a great western. It's definitely one of my top five western movies.

I can't decide at the moment whether I like Once Upon a Time in the West or The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966) better.

Let me analyze a couple of aspects. While I like the harmonica theme in this movie, it's not as memorable as the theme in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Though I suppose The Good, the Bad and the Ugly theme has the advantage of being something I've heard even before watching the movie.

I enjoy Clint Eastwood's character more than Charles Bronson's character. I also enjoy the final showdown in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly more than the final showdown in this movie for two reasons. First, three is better than two. Second, the one in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly has more suspense.

I conclude that I like The Good, the Bad and the Ugly more than Once Upon a Time in the West.

The introduction focuses on so much sound and I guess with the exception of a couple words, it's also quite visual. How'd they do the scene with the fly?
