V for Vendetta (2005)

20180201:
I watched the movie a long time ago, but I remembered none of it.

V (Hugo Weaving)

The movie is set in a dystopic United Kingdom and early in the film we meet the vigilante who goes by the name V. He rescues Evey Hammond (Natalie Portman) from night patrolmen who are abusing their power when they catch her being out past curfew. The story primarily revolves around the two characters and their interactions, but some of the story also concerns an Inspector Finch who is investigating V.

Some movies and/or plots contain subtle political messages. In contrast, V for Vendetta sends an explicit political method.

Evey (Natalie Portman)

At the end of the day, I never read the comic, but I enjoyed the movie. Compared to Watchmen (2009) and Kick-Ass (2010), I would place V for Vendetta right between the two (I enjoy it more than Watchmen but less than Kick-Ass).

Netflix determined the movie for me as a 94% match. I decided to give the movie a thumbs up.
