Meet the Parents (2000)

While not the perfect comedy, Meet the Parents had it's moments and I enjoyed watching the interaction between Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller. In part, I also enjoyed the film because I recall being nervous when meeting my fiancee's parents and this film does a great job of capturing those fundamental emotions and exaggerating them.

Greg Focker (Ben Stiller)

Overall, I would recommend this movie to Ben Stiller fans and fans of awkward moments.

Netflix determined the movie for me as a 98% match. I decided to give the movie neither a thumbs up nor a thumbs down.

Instant Comments:
Lol. That awkward hug.
His last name is Focker.
That tension between Greg and Pam's father Jack is perfect.

Jack Byrnes (Robert De Niro)

Oh, I see. Jack says "They ran out of Collins mix" but Greg just saw a bunch.
HAHAHA! "Which one have you milked then."
Hahaha. "You can milk anything with nipples."
Smile. "Pamela Martha Focker."
References Top Gun.

Greg and Pam Byrnes (Teri Polo)

I knew it was coming (volleyball), but it was funny when it happened. Plus the line "Jesus, Focker. It's just a game." (because it's opposite to their expectation for his increased performance).
Ha. I remembered the altar got ruined but I didn't remember how.
Haha. Greg's jump back into the home.
Hmm. Not smart. Jack explicitly stated that he showed the cat multiple tricks.
Lol. They're racing each other from light to light.

Jack watches Greg on the surveillance camera.

Honestly, it's not Greg's fault that the secret was blown. Jack could have just pulled him aside.
Ah, right. I didn't remember this (being the reason the background check didn't work): Gaylord M. Focker
So what's his middle name?
Ha. That typing.

Greg talks directly into Jack's camera. Finishing his monologue with "Can you deal with that?!"

I watched the movie once before.
