19970608:
I watched the first Jurassic Park (1993) on VHS, and that was a great movie. I recall this movie wasn't as great as the first.
I don't remember much, except for the velociraptors being central characters in the story.

20170304:
While the velociraptors caused their share of trouble, they weren't as exciting in this movie as they were in the first one. In fact, it felt more like the velociraptors were just making a cameo.
In contrast to the first movie, this movie truly revolves around the T. Rex.
Overall, I'd say the first movie is definitely better. I also watched Jurassic World when it released in theaters and that one was better than this one too.

2: Mentions "Lost World"
2: How does John have the gall to send Ian, especially considering Ian's name / reputation is tarnished by the incident (and its cover-up).
2: I don't understand why his girlfriend didn't tell him. [This is explained later]
2: They joke now... "convenient biting height."
2: "Ooo. Yeah. That's how it starts. And then later there's running... and screaming."
2: I feel there should have been a visual cue. There was no indication how Malcolm knew the T-Rex were coming back.
2: Why did the T-Rex disappear. If the T-Rex comes back, I'd be a bit disappointed in the plausibility.
2: Yeah okay... why did they ever leave in the first place... [It's explained why they're now territorial over the area, but it doesn't exactly explain why they left
2: Lol. I remember that digging scene so it wasn't so scary.
2: Whoa. Gymnastics.
2: Ha. Dumb guard.
2: "Now your John Hammond."
2: What a silly scene. "There's a dinosaur in our backyard."
2: "Ian slow down a little." "Uh. I don't think so."
2: She has the world's biggest "I told you so" coming to her.
