Murder on the Orient Express (1974)

20240113:
I thought the movie was slow at times. As this was the first film I've seen with the character Hercule Poirot, I had mostly thought about how the character compares and contrasts to (movie portrayals of) the character Sherlock Holmes.

Hercule Poirot
*20240301: this is a color screenshot I pulled from the web,
but I recall watching the movie in black and white

Netflix determined the movie for me as a 98% match. I decided to give the movie neither a thumbs up nor a thumbs down.

Rating: 4.0 out of 5

I would say I'm not a fan of this opening
Ha! Again, "no" ("you have crossed by the ferry?")
That's strange... so it got dark as they passed through the tunnel and the man he was speaking to disappeared.
Interesting. A net for his hair and a stay for his mustache
And gloves on top of lotioned hands
"AISY ARMS"
Hehe. Poirot subtly pulls the hankerchief
Hehe. After every person thus far Bianchi says he/she did it (Poirot had just interviewed Greta Ohlsson)
Hildegarde
The one couple stabbed as one. So if there were 12 people. Then it would be 11 stabs. [Apparently there were 13 names]
How did the chain get locked?
Huh. Poirot gave them an out.
