Spanglish (2004)

Instant Comments:
The narration doesn't exactly match what's written in the essay. I could see this from the phrase that followed "12 years ago in Mexico." But I rewinded, paused, and there's an entire first chunk of the essay which is omitted from the narration as well.
Hehe; Clear glass
Hehe. Money for bleeding nose
HA! "She didn't mean it as a compliment. She meant it as an accusation"
Hahaha. The grandma (?) signaled six fingers which the cousin correctly interpreted as $650
Hehe. Awkward. He tells her it's gonna be okay, reaches in to rub her breast, and says "Coochie Coochie Coo"
HAHAHA. "I admire your feelings. I hope to adopt them as my own."
Hahahaha. "The emotions of a Mexican woman."
Haha. Smile. Struggling with her shirt.
LOL. What is this? "Weee...."
Renting a place for the summer. So much income.
"Did you ask her if she could live in?" (Evelyn to the mother)
Hehe. The opportunity to make money finding rocks.
HAHA. "The most amazing white woman I have ever met." (certainly unexpected comment)
Without the context, this scene (the lines that end in returning the money) was the preview for this movie and seemed like something else.
Cristina's translation including the emotions is great
Perhaps unusual in-character but very typical Adam Sandler ("set my hair on fire")
Wait, who is Mike? The real estate guy?
"How did you become that man?"
Smile. "Would you get out of the damn wind?"
Hahaha. "40 messages start to look needy."
"Do I need makeup?" "You need a hose"
