Garfunkel and Oates: Trying to Be Special (2016)

20230128:
I started watching this special yesterday (I saw "Pregant Women are Smug" and "Fadeaway"). I continued watching some of it this afternoon, and then finished watching it in the evening. While I didn't take any notes, I enjoyed the special. However, I would say that their material and style - at least as presented in this special - seems narrow, especially compared to The Flight of the Conchords who have songs across various genres. More explicitly, their material is dominantly observational humor centered around sex, and it's generally delivered in tandem at a relatively fast speaking/singing pace. They did one song for the special which was a love song and one of their songs was a rap. With that being said, it is very entertaining to watch the duo perform. Their synchronized singing and well-timed interactions is impressive.
