While the movie had good visuals and good action sequences, I had trouble understanding the story. In particular, I didn't understand the movie's ending.
At best, I would classify the movie as a tragedy with an unsatisfying ending.
While I enjoy many of Jet Li's movies, the lack of direction in this film makes it difficult for me to recommend.
Netflix determined the movie for me as a <56%* match. I decided to give the movie neither a thumbs up nor a thumbs down.
*With the first movie without a match percentage being 1st, The Warlords was the 29th out of 51 items with hidden match percentages.
