The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014)

20161227:
Today I watched the third film in The Hobbit trilogy for the first time. As of 20161230, I didn't say much about it. I had not seen the other two movies in so long so I forgot some of the plot details. My sister and my dad helped fill in some of the blanks.

The action was cool. In particular, it would be fun to make a list of every cool action taken by Legolas. I should read the book to see how Tolkien spells out these moments.

Overall, it was a solid movie.

20171127:
I watched the film for a second time. By 20190505, I have forgotten the plot of the movie. For whatever reason, the series is not as memorable as The Lord of the Rings series.

Instant Comments:
2: It was not until after Bard killed the dragon that I truly suspected that I already watched the movie. Thus, I looked into my short notes and with luck found that I already watched the film on 20161227.
2: I wondered why they would fight at dawn.
2: Haha. "Uh, Gandalf, is this a good place to stand?"
2: Why would he also shout, "Abandon the cripples."
2: Independently, and for two separate scenes, my fiancee and sister suggested Kili probably should have just stabbed the orc in the head.
2: My fiancee said "stab him." Consider I vaguely remember what happened, I thought it was slightly humorous. I later confirmed if she meant Thorin should stab Azog the Defiler and she said yes.
2: Azog's eyes were open and then they closed. I didn't know that eyes would close like that upon dying.
2: My sister said it looked like the sword was aimed at Thorin's heart.
2: "Find the Dunedain. There is a young ranger amongst them, you should meet him. His father Arathorn was a good man. His son might grow to be a great one." "What is his name?" "He is known in the wild as Strider. His true name you must discover for yourself."
