One detail I'd nitpick on would be the random moments where the protagonist Johnny English (Rowin Atkinson) shows his competence versus his incompetence.

While Johnny English had its moments, it was neither a great spy film nor a great comedy. In particular, I'd much rather watch comedy spy film Spy Hard (1996).

He's not completely incompetent. He instinctively suspects Sauvage and eventually recognized the mechanic has a different voice from usual.

Here English is seen accidentally releasing the gun's magazine.

"And like a coiled viper... he strikes."
"Fandango!"
Haha. It wasn't immediately apparent that he landed on the wrong building.

Why would you record such a thing?
Poor Bough
"Things... involving plastic toys and soft cheese..."
Haha. Gross. (the tube was for lavatory disposal)

"And like a coiled viper... he strikes."
[However, there was no waste at the base, so it was a bit far fetched]
Haha. I'm into ultrasonic.
Ah. How cute. Bough went up the tube.
Hahahaha. The wrong video...

What can happen with only 10 minutes left?
Hahahaha. "Arrest that man, and lock him away."
Of course that would happen.
