20250423:
I saw the preview for this movie the other day and decided to add it to My List. Opening up My List today, it was the top choice and I went for it.
Instant Comments:
hmm she seems to have stopped where the checkered floor stops
I didn't notice until this scene (he's recording Leonard with camera) that Leonard is actor Robert DeNiro
smile. purple haze
nurse says the other person borrowed her will
interesting. he hypothesizes that their symptoms are an extreme case of Parkinson's
hehe. he turned the phrase around "let the chemist do the damage, doctor"
hehe. "All. Some. One."
that would easily count as malpractice but I suppose he figured it was worth the risk especially considering there was little to lose. the person is either effectively dead so the opportunity to gain consciously seems to be high reward
must be similar to my kids not wanting to sleep. well not similar but not too far off. afraid to close eyes cause you don't know if you'll get to wake up
hehe pollution
hehe "it's a fucking miracle"
hehe. there was initially thought of a bright side to awakening all these patients but here comes the downsides (the one man mentions a list of why he's not happy)
hehe they cover their chests (or maybe pens) as they pass by Waheedah
hehe good response to her remark
hehe "we can't allow it" "he's alright"
"you're the one that's asleep"
he didn't pick up his glasses
oh no... is Leonard gonna get cut?
wow. "Learn from me"
aww... "I won't see you anymore. I just want to say good-bye"
I got a little teary eyed there as she pulled him in for the dance (though I kind of broke the tesnion as I took notes)
a tear or two fell as he watched at the window and then walked away
oh interesting. based on a true story
Watched 20250423 (Netflix, Instant)
Awakenings (1990) Penny Marshall. 121 min
