Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas (1999)

20221229:
Overall, a wonderful set of three stories to watch with Ben and Ada.
Instant Comments:
Donald Duck: Stuck on Christmas
Groundhog's Day type story. Happy ending [the Wikipedia says this cartoon was "[i]nspired by the 1892 short story 'Christmas Every Day' by William Dean Howells."]
A Very Goofy Christmas
My eyes teared up throughout the end. With Max dressing up for his dad... that's so nice.
Mickey and Minnie's Gift of the Magi
The ending of the Mickey cartoon was obvious from early on. But I suppose still a nice message regardless. [Apparently the cartoon is based on a short story by O. Henry called "The Gift of the Magi" upon which many adaptations have been made. As such "the plot and its twist ending are well known" so it's less of a surprise I saw it coming, as I've probably seen it before. Looking through the Wikipedia list of Other Media, I would have definitely seen the Futurama episode "Xmas Story."]

Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)

20220922:
While the movie ended decently, the beginning to middle sections suffered due to an experimental level of comedy - one beyond the enjoyable does of comedy featured in Ragnorak.
Instant Comment:
What a strange opening. I wasn't sure I was watching Thor.
Christian Bale.
Hahaha. Mantis has this half smile like she's holding back from laughing as Thor saddles his hammer like a broom and jumps down.
Hehe. So they've been fighting for how long before he just comes in and destroys everyone?
The splits.
Interstellar
Hahaha. Matt Damon again (at least I think he played this role in Ragnorak)
This movie takes humor to the next level (not necessarily in a good way). For example, Vahalla joke.
Holy shit. The splitting of Mjolnir is awesome
"You flicked too hard damn it!"
"RIP LOKI"
Huh. Does this tie in or allude to Loki?
Wow. That shot through Zeus
Huh. While all the color is gone, use of Mjolnir returns some color.
Thunderbolt also returned color to illuminating Valkyrie
Wow. Christian Bale fills this role real well. Not sure who else could have achieved this kind of insanity at a similar age.
Pretty cool use of light in this world of black and white, er, Shadow Realm.
Oh what? Stormbreaker doesn't have the only worthy clause of Mjolnir. I didn't realize that. Oh right, earlier Korg was using it.
Wait what? Does Thunderbolt have some sort of Bifrost like power? How is Thor going to get back?
Six eyes. That looks a little familiar.
Smile. For a limited time only.
The girl in the princess outfit
Hehe. The bunny
"Eat my hammer."
That's true. All this time, and he tunnel visioned on wishing for destruction when he could just wish for his daughter.
With that being said, how come a wish as powerful as destroying Gods be only equivalent to resurrecting one person (as opposed to a more complicated wish that brings both himself and his daughter back to life).
One-armed Sif
Does she have laser eyes because she was reborn? [It is later narrated as such]

Pre-Credits:
Hercules

Post-Credits:
"Welcome to Valhalla"
It said "Thor Will Return". Would that really be included if there wasn't some type of plan for a follow-up? I think it would be a cop-out if it's just in another MCU movie like Guardian of the Galaxy. [one article I read said that Taika Waititi and Chris Hemsworth were surprised by the addition of this statement to the movie]

Sleeping Beauty (1959)

Instant Comments:
1a: Hmm... beauty (Flora's gift). Song (Fauna's gift).
1a: If I were to guess... "grace" as a third? Personally I would treasure wisdom, health, and... okay I guess beauty is reasonable third. Well perhaps wealth is a common blessing as well.
1a: "You weren't welcome" (?) Would the queen not have been so upset if a more... diplomatic answer was given?
1a: Oh I forgot that the third wish was...
1a: "The princess shall indeed grow in grace and beauty, beloved by all who know her. *But*... before the sun sets on her 16th birthday, she shall prick her finger - on the spindle of a spinning wheel - and DIE!" (Why her sixteeth birthday)
1a: Ha. Every cradle.
1a: "I Know You..." huh actually a good song
1a: Hehe the sliding candles.
1a: Oh no wands...
1a: I forgot how magic leaks.
1a: Oh no... I see.
1a: Lol. What a waste of 16 years. They could have had a celebration one day after her real birthday as a better alternative.
1a: She establishes that it's their fault
1b: Somewhat randomly restarted at the 53 minute mark, a little before the decision to put everyone to sleep
1b: Hehe. Paraphrase: set a trap for a peasant and catch a prince.
1b: Huh. He waves them along. I suppose he could have had a short "come on, this way" type of dialogue.
1b: Ooo. Turned to stone.
1b: Lol. The spell of thorns seems powerful and thick. yet somehow he makes hacking through it seem trivial.
1a: I missed the dragon fight. And the kiss. Hehe... I may have to rewatch some parts
1b: Huh. I was about to question Phillip's ability to kill such a powerful looking dragon. Soon after, it was the fairy that intervenes to send the sword flying into the dragon. Kind of lame.
1b: Prince Phillip doesn't respond to his father.
1b: Hehe, I think I saw this part (blue vs. pink) [someone pointed out that Aurora's dress (the one made for her is typically pink in artwork where it is blue for most of the movie, and others have explained this is to differentiate from Cinderella's assocation to an already blue dress]

Lightyear (2022)

Instanct Comments: Somewhat strange but sure ("this is that movie")
Slaps the name back on. Pretty cool
87.6% chance
To infinity and beyond.
Hehe blows the car bridge
A show of skill by Buzz
Time dilation... did they really not think about it? They sounded surprised
He looks funny outside his suit
Did people really get in an uproar on this simple kiss?
He definitely made it seem more simple.
62 years so if he ran approximately the same 4 year runs thats at most 15 runs plus 1 prior to getting sox. There is a strong possibility that some runs took up more.
Buzz Lightyear to star command come in star command.
This last trip took 22 years!

X-Men: The Last Stand (2006)

20241008:
Today I was cleaning up my Watchlist on Disney+ and noticed this movie had some time left on it. I playe the movie and didn't recognize it. I eventually turned back the movie to look for where my notes left off and it coincides with a scene right before the point at which I resumed the movie. As such, my assume I never got around to finishing the movie.
Instant Comments:
1a: Really, I doubt that
1a: For a moment, because cars were being lifted, I thought Magneto was displaying his strength as a display of mutant ability. Instead, it turned out Jean was responsible for lifting the cars, which shows just how strong her mutant power was. And yet... she didn't seem that strong in the previous movie. [20230530: it is explained later]
1a: "Oh Charles, I like this one."
1a: How sad... (Warren feels ashamed of being a mutant)
1a: Lol WTF, first the past, then 10 years ago. Then the not so distant future...
1a: I forgot who she is, was she Kitty Pride? [Yes, Ellen Page]
1a: I recognize that spikey one is one of the actors in Lost... [Ken Leung]
1a: Only Magneto and Pyro are above class 3.
1a: Hehe, as a little girl, "when I get out of here, I'm going to kill you myself"
1a: Hehe a mutant that suppresses the xgene
1a: "How?" "I dont know."
1a: Why didn't she just clear the mist earlier... lol
1a: Huh. What happened to Scott?
1a: Xavier calls her class 5. Where di
1a: Oh Xavier created barriers... weakening her. And Xavier says the alternate personality is The Phoenix
1a: Strange. Men have longed to fly on their own, why would someone with that ability give that up... [ok so he refuses]
1a: How cold. "You're not one of us anymore" (can such a thing be permanent)
1a: Hehe. "I don't want to fix it"
1b: Had paused with 50 min remaining. Rewind a little.
1b: I still don't understand why Xavier blamed wolverine for anything ("I warned you")
1b: I see, "Jean is not well" "You sound just like her parents" (despite Xavier's prior stance, he's acting like a hypocrite)
1b: Wow I didn't remember Xavier passing away
1b: Magneto was sad for Xavier's loss
1b: Wolverine lets Rogue go
1b: Jean makes Magneto afraid...
1b: Magneto corrects Pyro about Xavier
1b: Not sure transporting the bridge makes sense... it seems like it would fall into the ocean without the support cables.
1b: "Pawns"
1b: Haha. Grow those back
1b: Wow, Kitty has some smarts.
1b: "Do we look like we need your help?"
1c: Resume at the 1hr25min mark.
1c: I remember seeing this scene where Wolverine approaches Jean Grey and has his flesh tearing off.
1c: Oh, I didn't remember that Rogue lost her powers. Also I thought the power loss was just temporary. Apparently when Magneto got stabbed earlier it was a permanent power loss? I would think that he does get his power back despite us being led to believe all these mutants lost their power. After all... it's Magneto and while I think this is the third movie in the series of X-Men movies, they would be sure to put in a way to lead to a fourth as a just in case.
1c: Yep. Okay. There we go.

Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018)

20220729:
Overall, this was a decent movie. I didn't know most of the pop culture references having not spent much time on YouTube but I guess I understood the major brand references.

[20220729][20230530 Edit]
Instant Comments:
This princess scene is great.
Hehe, Vanellope gets a song
What exactly did Ariel do in the rescue? Though I guess only some of them played a part in the rescue...

Credits: Vanellope's song is written by Alan Menken
"Well, there was a scene in the trailer that wasn't in the movie and it made me sad." [20230530: I was going through my notes and this didn't have quotes around it so I thought there was a scene in the Ralph Breaks the Internet trailer that wasn't in the movie, and that it made me sad. However, it's actually a line from the midcredits scene. What I don't think I realized when watching the scene over, is that the little girl is toddler Moana!]
Video game. Pancake pancake pancake
Hahaha. The bunny gets the pancake.
Wow they got all, or at least most, actors and actresses to do their original role (e.g., Jodi Benson, Vin Diesel, Tim Allen)
Click here for Frozen 2 trailer turned into a Rickroll with Ralph performing [20230530: When rewatching the trailer for the above, it occurred to me that an instrumental of "Never Gonna Give You Up" is playing for part of it]

X2 (2003)

20220720:
Yesterday I watched X-Men and so today I decided to watch the sequel. As I started the sequel, my memories of this sequel were strong and it cast doubt in my mind as to whether I had seen the first movie prior to yesterday.
Instant Comments:
Seemingly random intro. I feel like it should have actually been the inner workings of Cerebro at a microscopic level and then ending with the entire room.
Huh. How does Nightcrawler's power work?
Wow. Xavier can freeze all those people? How?
I love this (and remember it): he puts the cigar out with his hand. (Another scene I remember is Erik's escape)
I guess it's one thing to mimic someone's appearance, but to also imitate their fingerprints is amazing [doing a Google search reveals that she is able to do this because her powers are psychic in nature ("psionic")]
Huh. I thought Colossus was always incased in metal.
What was Rogue doing not running with the rest of the kids?
Why didn't all these soldiers storm the school at the same time?
I feel like the door to Cerebro should just be locked psychically
"Professor Logan"
I remember them rejecting their son for being a mutant, which is sad ("There's something I need to tell you.") [Well, in the scene where he reveals his secret, it's not as bad as I remember][Well, perhaps there is some level of rejection.]
"Have you tried not being a mutant?"
Why did none of the cops try and shoot John.
"When will these people learn how to fly?"
How did he happen to be where they were happening to crash?
She couldn't transform the cells at the scar?
Only manipulate the fire... seems like he was able to enlarge it as well.
The middle finger.
So if Stryker can blow the doors open, then anybody could blow the doors open... what's the point of having "secure" doors?
Why would Styker's son be doing this? What incentive does he have to control Xavier?
How does this imitation Cerebro work with missing panels. (Somehow Stryker knows Since later Magneto rearranges the panels)
Hmm. Well Jason himself would be a mutant.
All this time there's still a pool of adamantium?
I'm curious in the difference between how Logan just infused adamantium and the original process (oh wait, I vaguely recall there were mainly needles and I guess they get injected into the bone?)
Why did Stryker have to close the door behind him? (Also why was he worried about the water pressure earlier as if it would ruin his plans)
Jason didn't seem to be affected at the same time as Jean and the other mutants... [an answer says because Jason already maekd himself as the girl, so Xavier wouldn't be searching for the girl]
Jason says to find the humans. So implicitly Xavier doesn't think of mutants as humans.
He explictly says "kill them." I thought Xavier was supposed to be in an illusion. Wouldn't such an extreme phrase have broken Xavier out of the illusion?
I think they made Scott too unlikeable.
Right. Xavier is telepathic whereas Jean is telekinetic.
Phoenix-like powers.
What was in the folder? [oh, Stryker's plans to destroy all mutants]
Jean repeats what Xavier narrated. But... it's not clear what that would have to do with the Phoenix.

X-Men (2000)

20220719:
I'm curious if I liked this movie when it released. Watching it today, I can't help but feel the story was rough around the edges. The movie had its moments though.
20220720 Comment:
Today I started watching X2 and I couldn't help but wonder if in fact I didn't see this movie before yesterday.
Instant Comments:
Mutants as an exaggeration of our culture is interesting. When people are so different from another that it causes fear and isolation.
There's something about Charles and Eric which is more appealing, perhaps their age, as opposed to Anna Paquin's character.
Why does Wolverine smoke? Well, I guess he can enjoy it without fear of killing himself.
Similarly I suppose he would drink a beer for the taste, but not to be inebriated.
"When they come out, does it hurt?" "Every time."
Oh, so the accident was created?
A different Sabertooth.
Ooo. Cyclops and Storm. I don't remember any of this
Oh, I didn't realize until the balls fell that the metal balls were swinging because of Magneto, not because of the traditional children's toy
They make it like mutants aren't humans... But to me, mutants are not a separate species...
"Mankind has always feared what it doesn't understand."
Magneto mutated the senator?
It is interesting how, at least in this version, Wolverine goes from being this new member to being the quintessential leader of the X-men
Xavier wasn't willing to kill Magneto...
Smile. "What would you prefer, yellow spandex?" (in reference to Wolverine's classic comic costume)
Smile. Wolverine gave Cyclops the middle blade.
Hehe. Can't duplicate adamantium claws...
Hmm. Kind of a weird stance (Storm flying out the elevator)
Hehe. "Same thing that happens to everything else"
Hehe. "There's a problem. You're not part of the group." (I honestly thought it was the other way around. That the real storm was sneaking up on Mystique disguised as Logan)
I'm a bit surprised that Mystique appears to have taken a fatal blow. I suppose she's probably not dead.
Oh, I thought her white hair came from touching Storm. Here it shows her getting white hair from the stress of using this machine.
Huh. I didn't notice earlier... how did Magneto survive and peel away from Rogue

Thus far some fun songs.
Thumbelina gets into dancing at the beetle club
Hehe everybody is after Thumbelina (mole)
Hehe Mrs. Fieldmouse could have all the riches... Why would she care what he has to offer.

Madagascar (2005)

Instant Comments:
Did Dreamworks give up on making movies? [No, they have both new films and several sequels, most recently sequels to Trolls, The Croods, and The Boss Baby]
Hoover Dam
Steak
A single star which turned out to be a helicopter
Free mints
Why is it that the animals can talk to each other (and understand humans and read English) but not talk to humans?
So their destination was Kenya but they landed on Madagascar.
My son thought it was funny when they turned around as a group while hugging
San Diego
New York Giants (American football team)
I imagine I didn't get that reference before. He sees the burned statue of liberty and he says "You maniac! You burned it up! Darn You! Darn you all to heck!" This is a parody to the ending of Planet of the Apes. The original line reads "You maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!"
Hehe HELP falls and becomes HELL
Hehe a fake door
Hehe. "Well this sucks" (Antartica)

Marty has the self realization.

Camo Sharks (2022)

20220711:
I couldn't help but wonder about the science behind the color board and correction. Despite the correction, I couldn't help but wonder how changes through water work. How does color correction along a white to black color bar adjust an image to the expected color. Perhaps first one adjusts the white end for color and then the grays and black are used for lightness. Or, perhaps a simpler answer is that the color board had portions that were colored and I just didn't pay close enough attention.

Pulling up a clip on YouTube, I was able to verify that the color board only had a grayscale. Thus, I would infer that a grayscale is sufficient to balance an image to true white, while other types of color adjustments would need colors. However, I'm not sure why that would be the case.

Ms. Marvel

Episode 1:
That's a cool video
Ha never fully stop
Haha. I don't think anyone can hear this
Hmm so focused on college. Seems like bad counselling
Mulan
Of course her mom catches her coming home late
I feel like there must be some consequence to forgetting the gloves. Seems like otherwise going out of the way to add it as a detail
Who are these people in the post credits
1=20220707

20220707: I love how visual this show is.

Episode 2:
She's a new person.
Hehe Brian instead of Bruno
"Have you ever seen a movie?"
Partition. I see.
Trail of stars
Hehe she convinced her uncle very succinctly
Tones of racism... why would they suspect the person with power is not caucasian.
Hehe how does she carry such a bulky suit around? [I guess Spider-Man's suit is not exactly easy to carry around either]
Interesting Kamran. [That would explain why he moved around a lot and arrived after Kamala got her powers... at least reasonable]
1=20220707

Episode 3:
Djinn
Dr. Erik Selvig. I think that's the physicist from the Thor movies [yes; technically, he's an astrophysicist]
How disrespectful. No warrant. Didn't remove shoes.
"Good is not a thing you are. It's a thing you do"
Very cool mask
I feel like she would have to hide her bangle
$732 in his checking
Chosen family
Huh, things just took a turn (his mom's [Najma] conversation with Kamram)
Hehe the Bon Jovi
Poor Kamala (outnumbered... cornered...) maybe Kamran will help
What kind of powers do these djinn have if any? Or are they just adults?
Lol how did they miss Kamala smeaking away?
What a tough situation (parents inquiring). I would say in classic superhero trope, she has to keep it hidden.
Hehe. Her nani. Good ending to the episode.
1=20220707

Episode 4:
Huh her mom had such an unexpected sad look at the end of the conversation. Maybe it was just the editing
She took off her bracelet [bangle]
Her bracelet is in her backpack
Lol. Her grandma casually telling her she's a djinn...
Selling Polaroids in the age of cellphones
Lol. "Come with me if you want to live. Just kidding..."
Hmm. "What you seek is seeking you"
So ooo... alternate dimension is different from universe... weird.
Interesting. Her mom (Kamala's grandma) told her stories which she didn't believe
The thing that was not quite explained is why the Clandestine or at least the main leader [Najma]...
Strange choice of sacrifice (Waleed)
1=20220707

Episode 5:
He recites a poem that contains the line ("What you seek is seeking you")
I like how this episode goes into explaining the history
Hmm. Aisha may have "betrayed" what's her name [Najma] but to kill her doesn't make sense
Ah, nice. I suspected she might end up saving her own grandma.
Hehe trail of stars
"It was me"
Ha microchipped
Lol. We can go home she says and dead.
I can make it she says
Huh. What just happened with Kamran... looks like he gained a bangle... not sure how
What's significance of broken necklace
Hehe. Kamran honestly thought Brunos name was Brian. I guess it was technically on Bruno to correct Kamran...
1=20220707

Episode 6:
Hmm... so many people know about her identity now... (family, best friends)
Embiggen
Nice getaway
Interesting regarding the one getting upset about the disobey and it seems like they had to shut down Damage Control... what even really is that [20220717: Apparently they've previously shown up in the MCU, such as Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: No Way Home; in particular, Agent P. Cleary interrogated Peter Parker in regards to Quentin Beck]
Kamala means Marvel. Her dad says "Ms. Marvel"
I didn't get the ending (with the genes). Apparently it's a reveal about mutants and the X-men theme played (I didn't have the volume loud enough) [apparently the comics Kamala is not a mutant but something known as an Inhuman; though perhaps the whole concept is invented to get around property rights]
While Kamala is the first mutant revealed in the main universe [Earth-616], Xavier has showed up in the Doctor Strange movie in the alternate universe
Midcredits Captain Marvel shows up (and Kamala disappears)

Shrek Forever After (2010)

Instant Comments:
I saw this movie was leaving in 170 min and though I didnt see the third movie yet. Not sure I even remember the second.
Rumpelstiltskin
Hehe I thought this was a prequel due to the Rumpelstiltskin bit.
Oh no... is this a Groundhog Day or is everyday somehow just very similar
Hmm okay now they are on the dragon
Hehe, a real ogre
Omg, what a roar.
Lol he found another cake exactly like the one that Donkey licked.
Hmm... I mean I guess for story purposes but I feel like she could have empathized with his feelings
Wonder what Rumpelstiltskin will do with a day from Shrek's childhood... make another deal with child Shrek?
Fiona... wanted
I suppose this entire experience will make Shrek appreciate what he has
Oh! (Ginger snap!)
Maybe he did just take the day Shrek rescued fiona... (Shrek being wheeled into the castle)
Huh... why would Stiltskin reveal his plan; pride perhaps?
That was quite a move to go through the window and also block it
Haha! "I'm being ass-napped!"
Aww... the little doll
Hahaha "try lous" vs "true love's kiss"
Hehe ogre imitating crow's call
Oh my. The one with a good idea got watered.
That's my chimichanga stand (huh I think that was a team member's spelling bee word and I didn't know how to spell it; I spelled it as "chimichunga" instead of "chimichanga")
Hehe. Puss in Boots doesn't have boots and is fat. [I thought it was "Puss 'n' Boots" but it is "Puss in Boots"] Lol, technically none of those would be true love's kiss.
Ha. Eyeballs in Donkey's nose.
Oh does that mean her curse is not broken yet? (You even know the little rhyme)
Ah of course, the trope of the last moment. Charming that Shrek accepts his end with a kind of happiness...
That final line was heartwarming. A little feeling under my eyes. "It was you that rescued me."

Sonic the Hedgehog (2020)

20220630:
I saw bits and pieces of this movie today at the dentist office. Some parts I only heard the audio.

20220702:
Overall... some humor and interesting moments but... I felt it had some flaws as far as a live action adaptation goes.

Instant Comments:
1b: Paramount logo has Sonic rings
1b: She was basically Obi-Wan Kenobi
1b: 296 MPH. This is fast, but is it really that fast?
1b: Huh. From what we can perceive, the camera speed doesn't decrease when Sonic runs back to get the turtle, but manages to get back to the camera. It's possible if he was running at less than half his top speed.
1b: "No I'm not!"

1b: 5 PhD
1b: Skipped from 22 minute mark to 30 minute mark (Dr. Robotnik is questioning Tom)
1b: Is that an innocent joke? Wouldn't that damage reputation of a brand? (Amazon joke)
1b: Runs into the Pacific... He did it in less than several seconds [4 seconds]. So the coast wasn't so far away. Where are they located? [Green Hills, Montana; an estimate of the eastern point of Montana to the Ocean is about 300 miles. Assuming he was trying to run topspeed for ths scanner, it would have taken him an hour...; using 300 miles and 4 seconds, he would have been running about 270000 mph!]
1b: This scene (37 minute mark) was the last scene I saw at the dentist
1b: In this bar scene he's running fast enough that everybody remains still except for the sparklers. Makes me think of the X-Men Quicksilver scene
1b: Ha! Start a bar fight was on his bucket list
1b: HAHAHA! "That's brilliant, sir." "Thanks... for nothing."
1b: The dance. [Flossing]
1b: His signature shoes
1b: Dr. Eggman
1b: Seems like an inconsistency with the time the ring portal stays open
1b: I thought Tom would have grabbed the quill
1b: The Sonic theme song on piano perhaps
1b: Ha. $50 to Olive Garden
1b: Also, more importantly, what the heck. The government sent Robotnik after Sonic and then decided Robotnik was crazy and ignore existence of Sonic. A whole town knows about Sonic and... that isn't gonna be a problem?
1b: Oh no, the quill. (I suppose that's how a sequel happens)

The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea (2000)

20220227 Comment:
Previously watched the first third.
20220628:
I think whatever the original movie was rated out of 10, this movie is probably 2 scores down. Checking on IMDb.com, the original has a 7.6 (257K ratings) and the sequel has a 5.5 (19K ratings). Interestingly, several cast members reprised their roles in the film: Jodi Benson (Ariel), Samuel E. Wright (Sebastian), Pat Carroll (Ursula / Morgana), Buddy Hacket (Scuttle), Kenneth Mars (King Triton), Rene Auberjonois (Louis), Edie McClurg (Carlotta). From the list, I also recognize Rob Paulsen (Prince Eric), Frank Welker (Max), and Tress MacNeille (uncredited for Mother Penguin / Baby Penguin); in particular, the three of them are/were voice actors for Animaniacs (2020/1993 series).
Instant Comments:
1b: Resumed at 26 minute mark - I vaguely recall this scene.
1b: Go back to the 23.5 minute mark which I've definitely seen.
1b: That's what her father said to her, "You deliberately disobeyed me."
1b: Morgana moves so fast, not just walking
1b: Hmm. Melody's transformation into a mermaid was not as believable; somehow the breathing underwater bit seems weird; she also complains about wrinkly skin
1b: comedic intervention with a penguin and walrus comedic duo
1b: I think penguins and walruses can swim underwater but have limited underwater time... I'm guessing penguins can last at most 10 minutes and walruses at most 20 minutes. [according to some articles, Emperor Penguins can hold their breath for up to 20 minutes (possibly 27 minutes according to an article citing research done in 2013), but typically dive for 3-6 minutes; meanwhile, one source says walruses "generally breathe at the surface for about one minute after every five to eight minutes," adding they "can stay submerged for as long as 10 minutes," and that a deep dive of 113 meters was documented with a submersion time of 25 minutes; as I continue to scour the internet, facts regarding how long animals hold their breath vary substantially perhaps due to the differences between typical dive times, typical extremes, record extremes, and new evidence over time][general depths for penguins are between 100 and 200 meters, 450 meters might be a general extreme, with 550 meters being the order for record extreme; as such, Atlantica can't be that deep]
1b: Whoa, Flounder grew up and put on some weight (he's a dad)
1b: Interesting, only Triton or his descendents can remove the trident... but why should anyone but him be able to remove it...
1b: Ugh. Are children really so stupid? Despite her mom lying, it's her mom vs a stranger...
1b: Uh... why bring Max?
1b: So her downfall, like her sister, is tunnel vision... lame

Credits:
1b: I definitely like the original movie version of this song more than this credits recording; this recording has some personality to it, but ultimately I like the higher pitch of the original

Dinosaur (2000)

20220625:
Overall, the story of this movie was not good. The protagonist had a certain personality but didn't fully stick to it. There was this opportunity at the end to redeem himself, several events go wrong and there's this odd unhappy event which seems unnecessary. Overall, it's one of the worst Disney feature films, if not the worst.
Instant Comments: somehow feeels fake relative to Jurasic Park.
maybe cause Disney movie, but would have liked the triceratops to put up a fight (or if not in believed triceratops behavior, then stegosaurus) [The Wikipedia says the predator is a Carnotaurus and the prey was a Pachyrhinosaurus]
wait some kind of primates existed during this time? [oh these are lemurs, but still]
hehe. what's he gonna do gum us to death?
[Ada said the pack of predatory dinosaurs were Velocipraptors; according to Wikipedia, she is correct; they seem much smaller than how they're depicted in the Jurassic Park series] [the protagonist is an Iguanodon, other key characters are a Styracosaurus, Ankylosaurus, and Brachiosaurus][I read about the differences between a Brachiosaurus (giraffe-like) and Brontosaurus (elephant-like)][Then there's Little Foot who is an Apatosaurus, which used to be the same species as a Brontosaurus, until in 2015, they were considered different species] probably the water is gone

1: Ben says "look theres a castle"
1: Hmm. What's the point of being fairest. Or well second isnt bad if the fairest is hiding in a forest
1: She wants to be fairest but is so happy about transforming into an ugly hag with a raspy voice.
1: Oh. This song is on one of mydisney soundtracks but i disnt know it was from snow white.
1: Some Day My prince will come follows this other song. Wow. Snow white is packed full of songs.
1: Well she only takes up about 3 beds....
1: Technically as long as snow white is alive though sleeping, the queen would not be the fairest on the land
1: Hahaha seconds

Harmonious Live!

20220621:
It turns out this event streamed about an hour and a half before I started watching it.

Aside from host Idina Menzel, the performance features special guest Auli'i Cravalho (Moana).
Instant Comments:
Haha. "For the first time in forever."
Wow. Lindsey Stirling (she looks different; perhaps her hair color). There's also someone I don't know.
Such power (from these soloists)
Wow... the blend of all this music... not just from movie to movie but multiple languages!
Yes! A personal favorite "Go the Distance" (Hercules)! [Also in Italian]
I wonder how much pressure (or not) any particular person feels during such a performance, in particular, this narrator
Hehe. She seemed so happy hitting that gong.
Not enough money to hire Christina Aguilera? Haha. I wonder if the English singer is someone related to the original recording or the live action movie
Huh. When I saw the two men after the Beauty and the Beast tune, I definitely didn't see "Out There" (The Hunchback of Notre Dame) coming
Oh wow, earlier I was quizzing my son on some instruments (violin and guitar) but I had to tell him. But when it came to seeing trumpets, he said "there's two trumpets" (indeed there were)
Hehe. Tiana only shows on the scren a little bit... My son doesn't care so much for people he doesn't recognize
Hmm... I guess that's the length of these Disney firework shows... but I can't help but want more. I also feel there was less story telling in this show than the one I remember seeing at Disneyland way back circa 2004.

1a: She was shivering (cold water shower) [20220620: it's a subtle detail]
1a: Octavious! I never knew. Gus Gus.
1a: Hahaha he chose his own tail. I suppose there's no way to cheat without being caught so it's fair.
1a: Holy moly, Cinderella just did them. Honestly though, how would the stepmother know if they didn't get done again.
1a: Pause after this assignment of chores (from the stepmother to Cinderella)
1b: Resume Cinderella. Her sisters sing and play violin poorly
1b: Lucifer is so cruel, she sings better (pleasing relative to where he ran away from) and he tortures her by dirtying the stairs
1b: Ben laughs at bibbidi boppidi boo song, he always loved such silly words phrases
1b: She didn't even know he was the prince
1b: He didn't do a great job of chasing after her, I suppose he's a gentlemen
1b: She drops the teapot learning of the Prince
1b: Why did the stepmother have to lock it from the inside when there's a keyhole on both sides?
1b: Hmm I mean the Duke did see Cinderella from the back. And the prince would recognize her so he wouldn't actually marry a random girl. [I guess the glass slipper wasn't just small, but beyond the size, it would have perfctly conformed to only Cinderella's feet]
1b: Hehe its like two to three times too small
1b: Ooo I totally forgot about Bruno.

Hahaha. Fakes to be 22 years old with a 10-year-old son.
Lol. Intentionally leveraging the father-son relationship seems unfair.
That's good. I almost thought that Rex wouldn't have mentioned the assistant coach position to anybody.
Oh, the son ended up drafting Haas.
Damn. That sucks (he has to go back to scouting)
Kind of interesting he's never scouted these kind of games before.
Huh. He managed to get on the bus.
Hahahaha. "You're a fantasy for me."
E.T.
Hahaha. "He's not lost. He moved to Portugal with whore."
WTF. Minimum is 900K!?!
Haha. He made the jump to the top and was only wearing flops
Holy crap, this Vin... He must be out of his mind.
He sacrificed his first class seat (well, likely not a huge sacrifice from his point of view)
Wow. That quit was intense.
"It's you against you out there." (he told his daughter something similar)
He's gonna start making fun of him. ["Your mom's a whore." Obvious]
Whore's get paid, she gives it out for free.
The montage.
Though I feel someone else should insult him.
"Yeah, Rocky!"
WTF. Vince is such an asshole.
This truth moment (Bo learns that Stanley's been lying) wasn't as bad as I expected it would be.
I like how she told him about the next play. Got me teary eyed.
Dr. J calls him the "Boa."

Haha, his wife, not Clyde Dexter. Does it matter?
Hehe, I thought Bo would have turned around on his own.

Pinocchio (1940)

Instant Comments:
1a: "As I stood there warming my... myself" haha (as opposed to saying his butt)
1a: Is that the Queen of Hearts? [Alice in Wonderland wasn't made until 1951; because it's not an exact match, the similarity would most likely be due to the general shared animation style across movies, e.g., similar looking animals across all the movies]
1a: neither Figaro nor Cleo like the name
1a: Ha! All those clocks and he says to himself "I wonder what time it is" as he pulls out his pocketwatch.
1a: Jiminy Cricket says "A very real thought but not at all practical." [At which I realize it's been a long time since I've seen this movie. Perhaps not since my childhood]
1a: Haha, a badge.
1a: "Always let your conscience be your guide" she tells Pinocchio.
1a: Jiminy Cricket takes a whiff of the pipe.
1a: Lol his reaction to the lady.
1a: Where is Jiminy Cricket during all this?
1a: Huh. "Hi-diddle-dee-dee, an actor's life for me." (Is this related to "Yo Ho (A Pirate's Life for Me)"?) [no, the songs are very different]
1a: Oh Jiminy Cricket is late
1a: Lol, Jiminy Cricket oggles at the can-can puppets [this behavior appears to be a repeating theme]
1a: Why would he have a cage ready? If he specializes in puppets why would he have a cage? [It's later referred to as a bird cage]
1a: Hehe "must be one of the old models"
1b: Oh Geppetto calls out as the carriage passes but the thunder sounds.
1b: Lol plenty. Hardly the amount that Stromboli pulled in.
1b: "They never come back... as boys!!!"
1b: Oh, a bird cage.
1b: Huh, why necessary to lick pencil tip? [20220619: it has to do with how pencils used to work]
1b: Wow, smoking in a kid's film.
1b: Jimini Cricket knows how to read (contrasting with Honest John who couldn't spell Pinocchio and Gideon who only wrote down scribbles when jotting notes)
1b: How will Jimini Cricket breathe [the writers just decide to ignore the issue of breathing]

Bambi (1942)

Instant Comments:
The owl plays an interesting role. For example, he said "You should be congratulated" and then various other animals proceed to congratulate her. Then he also determined when they should all go away.
Hahaha! The one quail comes back and says "Goodbye."
"He doesn't walk very good does he?"
"I'm thumping. That's why they call me 'Thumper.'"
"Eating greens is a special treat. It makes long ears and great big feet. But it sure is awful stuff to eat."
"He's kind of bashful, isn't he, Mama?"
As Bambi watches in awe of the Great Prince of the Forest, and thinking of a similar question in The Lion King, I wondered Bambi and Faline were related. [Apparently Bambi is based on a novel, in which they are first cousins. However, this relationship is through their mothers being sisters.]
"Winter sure is long, isn't it?" "It seems long."
"Come. My son."
Haha. Owl explains "twitterpated" and my son is laughing at various parts.
That quail...
Ben said, "he jumped over the mountain."
"Get up, Bambi. Get up. You must get up. Get up. Get up. Now, come with me."

Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure (2009)

20220610:

20230113:
I went back to this unfinished post today and wanted to watch the first part of the movie which I missed.

[20230113]
Instant Comments:
2: Wow. Starting this movie today, my first impression is that the animation looks great!
2: Smile. The bees tightning the bolt sounds exactly like a pneumatic bolt driver would (or whatever the tool mechanics use to tighten bolts is called).
2: Ha. The morning Terence wakes Tinkerbell up and she gives him this deadly smile and look
2: Haha. I remember the outcome. She didn't hear what was said and her friend tells her "toll bridge" but its "troll bridge"
2: I caught up with the scene I started watching (around the 27 min or 30 min mark)
2: Hehe. Looks exactly the same. "This one's not for traveling"
2: I skip to from when they lost the balloon to when she acknowledges that it wasn't Blaze's fault that she wasted the last wish

20220610:
Today I decided to finish the movie (technically we had previously finished the movie, but I had only seen bits and pieces).
Instant Comment:
1a: Watched up to the point where Baloo and Bagheera save Mowgli from King Louie [20220610: ~39 min mark]
1b: Resumed movie at about the 39 min mark (it's gone from day time to night time)
1b: "You wouldn't marry a panther would you?" (Bagheera to Baloo)
1b: Baloo tries to ask the same of Mowgli, "You wouldn't marry a panther would you?"
1b: "What!?! A female leading my herd. Utterly preposterous."
1b: hehe. "What we gonna do?"
1b: "You're trying my patience. 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10!"
1b: HA! "He's got a tiger by the tail, he has." [this saying means "something too difficult to manage or cope with"]
1b: Huh, I thought Mowgli would have used his smarts (the supposed advantage of being a man) to create the fire (earlier in the film a technique which King Louie expected to be known by man), but in this version of the story he just got lucky (perhaps being able to hold the stick was Mowgli's strength? kind of silly)
1b: Despite being alive, technically Baloo should be incredibly scratched up
1b: "Forget about those. They ain't nothing but trouble."
1b: I guess in general this movie departs from the message that is to be imparted by the book [the Wikipedia page says "The early versions of both the screenplay and the soundtrack followed Kipling's work more closely, with a dramatic, dark, and sinister tone which Disney did not want in his family film"]
1b: hehe, she drops it on purpose

Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)

Instant Comments:
Prior to start of the movie, I knew Anakin will be in charge of protecting Padme and I couldn't help but think whose bright idea it was to do so... despite his training as a Jedi, his emotional weakness is still there and placing him next to Padme...
Amidala is immediately suspicious of Dooku
Turns out Dooku was once a Jedi. Which is interesting because I didn't know one could stop being a Jedi.
It turns out it was essentially Dooku's idea and he carefully set it all up though pretended to establish Obi-Wan. Maybe he's responsible for then getting Obi-Wan to leave...
Holy moly that jump out the window...
Second surprise would be that this droid carries the weight of Obi-Wan
While I imagine Obi-Wan being able to use the force. I feel like some drop with the craft would make it more realistic. [20220611: that is to say, if the craft moves downward to ease with the deceleration]
Lol the timing of Anakin's drop must be incredible use of the Force.
Lol Obi-Wan retrieves the saber.
Oh a changeling. So her face did change during the flight
Ooo Obi-Wan says his padawan isn't ready
"It's not fair"
Lol, what a creep. "Please don't look at me like that" "Why not?" "It makes me uncomfortable" "Sorry, Milady" (continues to look onward with a creepy look)
Huh... somewhat silly statement. "If it doesn't appear in our records it doesn't exist"
This sand line doesn't seem so bad starting with Padme's comment about sand. Though the rest of the conversation is still awkward
The music stopped in sync with when she said no
Boba Fett

Wait what? He had kissed her.
Foreshadowing. It would destroy us.
C-3PO with coverings
Owen Lars... that would be Luke's adoptive father? [Yes]
Wow. That's a dramatic fallen head.
Yoda can sense Anakin's pain... wonder if that is Yoda's strength to sense or Anakin broadcasting himself.
Huh. Lars was familiar with C-3PO and briefly met R2-D2.
Amidala insists to help Obi-Wan (I love this white costume she wears)
Then we decided to come and rescue you. Ob-Wan sarcastically replies "Good job."
Haha. "She seems to be on top of things."
What? Some Jedi just carry spare lightsabers?
Hehe all these puns
Samuel Jackson is pretty smart with the purple lightsaber
Huh, the clones helped in saving them (under command of Yoda)
Death star design
Obi-Wan neutralizes the lightning.
Dooku is so skilled (as teacher to Qui-Gon, I guess he must be)
Yoda truly neutralizes the lightning.
Oh wow, Yoda was the teacher of Dooku

Finding Dory (2016)

20220603:
I didn't take any live notes but I enjoyed this movie. It was neat to learn about Dory's past and how she had her own way of succeeding in life.

One observation I had early on the movie was in regards to something her parents asked her which I would have interpreted as knowledge that would have been embedded in Dory's long-term memory. As she wasn't able to answer, it struck me as odd since her condition is explicitly short-term memory loss. Perhaps I have a misunderstanding of the connection between short-term memory and long-term memory.

In any case, I like how they found a way to explain various aspects about Dory from the first film, such as her ability to talk whale and why she sings "Just keep swimming."

It was an emotional moment to see the various lines of shell, but when she saw her parents, no tear reached or filled the eye. I guess the buildup wasn't exactly there. In addition, there was not enough evidence that her parents would have been alive or to what extent they had wanted to see Dory. In particular, there was even one moment in the film where they were talking about Dory and it was never revealed what prompted them to be so concerned as to even have that conversation.

Chip 'n' Dale: Rescue Rangers (2022)

20220601:
I started this movie the other day. Today I finished it. Overall, it was a fun film to watch with plenty of nostalgic moments. Two primary elements of the movie reminded me of Who Framed Roger Rabbit:
- genre and style: live-action/animated comedy film (Wikipedia further designates Roger Rabbit as a mystery and Rescue Rangers as an action-adventure)
- portrayal of classic animated characters as actors and actresses who make the movies and shows we all know
Fortunately for Rescue Rangers, the likeness makes sense and the film can be thought of as a modern-day Roger Rabbit, not just in style but possibly in popularity. Well, perhaps Roger Rabbit is such a good movie that it might be a degree or two better than Rescue Rangers, but Rescue Rangers was certainly not a failure.

1b: Resume as they leave the building "it's like they knew we were coming"
1b: Oh, cause Dale is broadcasting on social media. Well ambiguously the cop lady. Because back in the garage with Albany [Okay very soon after this comment Chip makes this hypothesis about Ellie, which makes me think maybe it is Putty, that would be the surprise twist]
1b: Lol Paul Rudd (and "Aunt Man" joke)
1b: Haha the disguise puts Chip into his old costume (because Indiana Jones booth) [20220610: in the Wikipedia article for Chip 'n' Dale, a statement in the Rescue Rangers section remarks on this likeness to Indiana Jones: "Chip wears a leather jacket and fedora (much like Indiana Jones), while Dale wears a Hawaiian shirt (much like Magnum, P.I.)."]
1b: How did the kid not age compared to Pan?
1b: Lol the fireworks and mickey head and Disney theme song

1b: I guess I don't remember that she could have left him for dead, though technically he did save her life so any decent person would repay the debt
1b: It's interesting how quickly the song "Tale as Old as Time" comes after "Something There". Off the top of my head, I can't think of another Disney movie containing two lyrical songs which come so close together.

I never saw the movie before but after this episode I went ahead and watched the ending. Richard Gere enters the workplace like how Marge enters the factory. Frozen II (2019)

20220421:
My son and I were at the doctor's office and this movie was playing. I recall watching approximately from when they speak to Grand Pabbie to after Olaf's song. My son was laughing throughout Olaf's song, and so later I tried to play that song as a distraction during a blood draw, but it wasn't enough.
20220502:
This movie was a decent sequel.

I had heard several of the songs from the movie prior to this viewing, and it was neat to hear the songs in context of the movie; they make much more sense. In particular, the vocalizing heard in the song "Into the Unknown" went from just a neat echo to an integral part of the story - and consequently changed my understanding and perception of the song.

On a different note, I felt like Kristoff was much more of a side character in this movie. However, Olaf took a more central role, though still secondary to Anna and Elsa. Speaking of which, I guess Elsa got to do more in this film in comparison to the previous film.

20220503 Comment:
I was wondering if Kristoff has Northundra origins. The movie seemed to suggest this, but didn't answer it.
Instant Comments:
1a: it appears their parents were already aware of Elsa's gift.
1a: Paused after Olaf's song. My son loves that song, it makes him laugh.
1b: Resumed.
1b: Olaf's recap of Frozen was both humorous and quite accurate [20220609: there should be an Olaf summary of every Disney movie]

Moon Knight

S1E01:
Not sure I understand. Doesn't He strap himself due to awareness of some problem yet he seems very surprised by his situation.
Hehe. Cool end to the episode.
Finish @ 20220425 ~8PM

S1E02:
Hehe. "Youre not alone." "That's part of the problem innit."
Oh that statue is not a statue. It's a person
Interesting... "That's all he can do without your help" kind of not expected due to the first episode ; So will he be a mentor?
Oh interesting, he was the former avatar of Konshu
Hehe. Konshu vs Ammit.
Steven logically sides with... well not Ammit.
Haha a suit thats not the ceromonial suit.
"Where are we going" "where the hell do you think?" So... probably Egypt?
Finish @ 20220430 ~9:30PM

S1E03:
Hmm. If it was harrows men keeping tabs, and he just stashed some stuff under the pier...
Hahahaha. Everybody chill the c out. Take the body marc.
the turning back of the night sky... is really cool
Finish @ 20220430 ~10:30PM

(Who is the third personality. How many personalities does he have?) Which personality is considered baseline. We almost think it should be Steven but it doesn't have to be?
Because when konshu picked the body he picked marc... absent of Steven...

S1E04:
Lol why not check inside the truck
[how do these gods relate to the marvel universe. What kind of beings are they. They seem to have certain rules]
She's one tough cookie to fend for herself against the priest.
I think it's weird that the gods... let me rephrase... it'd be smart if the gods were monitoring Arthur Harrow, despite what they made it seem that he would be off the hook (he shoots Steven)
Moon Knight figurine
Pretty cool sequence (centered around Marc)
Lol, they meet.
Huh he didn't open that shaking sarcophagus.
Lol. Some hippo. Who is that suppose to be? Ammit?
Finish @ 20220430 ~11:30PM

S1E05:
Ok, so this memory (as a kid) does make it so that Marc is the main personality?
Steven sometimes comments like... he's had some experiences as well ("why are you remembering her like that")
I was thinking perhaps the third identity would reveal during this claiming of the Duat.
Huh... your scales are balanced... kind of strange.

Over the Moon (2020)

20220609:
I finished the movie today. It had a decent end. Overall, the movie was simple and lacked the extra magic that would be found in a Pixar movie. With that being said, I like that this film had many musical numbers.
Instant Comments:
1b: Resuming. They are getting pulled up in space.
1b: Well technically the moon just reflects the light of the sun. Not sure if it makes sense to be claimed as the brightest star

20220322:
While the movie follows some patterns, it was fun to watch and had likeable characters.
Instant Comments:
theres a bishop on the inside of the ceramic fake
haha top or bottom
it don't matter what you do just what they've think you done
hahaha the answer is yes
(how did they get around faster than workers running through the compound)
plot twist; i told you they'd come
haha foreshadowing
lol. what luck. wrong directions but also right directions?
hahaha. "forget the egg. let's just steal this stuff"
look for a box that says macguffin
"your entrances are bullshit"
classic heist / archaeology story (racing to an objective and one party just chases the other)
no.... don't shoot at all the art!!!
hehe, I only kind of thought at some point that he would betray him.
despite this I feel like it just has to end positively for Booth...
haha, "I'm Ed Sheeran, bitch."

Instant Comments: 1a: The solo and performance of the king is amazing. I love the shoulder shifting. Oh and earlier the spit coming out.
1a: Wow, this rewind transition is super cool. And the resulting song as a second take to the situation is well written.

Ice Age (2002)

20220227:
Today I resumed watching Ice Age and I had the following comments on the movie thus far. - the animation hasn't aged well, which is a nice way of saying it looks terrible relative to modern movies
- however, my eyes eventually adjust
- problem is eventually the story the focus and that's honestly not too great either
- Sid is annoying

20220228:
Today I finished the movie. It ended okay. Manny had some memories but didn't hold a grudge against the baby. Maybe instead he sympathized with it. The resolution to Diego's betrayal was decent but I didn't like the whole part where he was injured and the movie made it seemed like he was going to die. I'm not sure what that was about, because he was able to catch up in the final scene anyways. I feel like the movie was good for just maybe ten minutes at a time. In bursts.

On a different note, the ending with Scrat was uninteresting. Maybe kids like it.

Toy Story 4 (2019)

20220205:
I watched this today and missed a part in the middle.

The end wasn't that sad. To be fair, my attention was split and that possibly broke the tension. Of course, I feel like there was also a lack of association with Bonnie. Furthermore, even though Woody is going to be separated from his friends, he gets to stay with Bo. So that's bittersweet, not sad. The delivery also wasn't so sad: Buzz almost makes it seem like Bo will be alright until he clarifies that Bonnie will be alright. In any case, I didn't even have a tear reach my eye, which often happens with many Pixar movies (in particular, for Toy Story 3).

During the movie I wondered if there would be a Toy Story 5 and the way this movie ended I suppose there could be. I don't think there could be a prequel to the entire story, as that would omit Buzz. I think any Toy Story movie would have to have both Buzz and Woody. There's a small chance a fifth movie could just be centered around Buzz, but I feel it would be easy enough for them to figure out a way for Woody to return.

Doing a quick google search, apparently there is currently no news of a Toy Story 5.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)

Overview: Steve Roger spends time serving S.H.I.E.L.D., but during a mission it seems Nick Fury is hiding something. During the movie, Roger befriends Sam Wilson who is able to assist Rogers with government technology (Falcon).
20220117:
Today was my first time watching this movie. Of all the MCU movies released to date (Phase One to present), it's the last one I had yet to see!

Steve Rogers / Captain America (Chris Evans) and James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes / Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan)

Instant Comments:
His list: I Love Lucy (Television) | Moon Landing | Berlin Wall (Up + Down) | Steve Jobs (Apple) | Disco | Thai Food | Star Wars / Trek | Nirvana (band) | Rocky (Rocky II?) | Troubleman (Soundtrack)
No parachute... I imagine it still hurts...
"Last time I trusted someone I lost an eye."

Sam Wilson / Falcon (Anthony Mackie)

Who would be after Fury, that isn't fully prepared to take him down? Why did they even fire on the vehicle when they probably should have just started with the battering ram. If there were resources for four cop cars, why not more to really pin him down? Seems like a real half-assed effort.
Oh, it's Sharon Carter.
Huh. How did he get it back there...

Rogers and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson)

"It kind of feels personal."
Smile. Chuckle. "Bye-bye bikinis." Rogers sarcastically responds, "Yeah, I bet you look terrible in them now."
Nice. "If you guys need anything, I've been Aaron." As opposed to a joke I heard by Demetri Martin, "'If you need anything, I'm Jill.' [...] I've never met a woman before with a conditional identity. [...] 'If you don't need anything, I'm Eugene.'"

Rogers and Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson)

"Shall we play a game?"
The folder is titled "EXO-7 FALCON"
Why did the guy hand the grenade launcher to Bucky? It seems unnecessary for him to use it.
Although they only need three ships, maybe making back-up chips would be more reasonable.
Chuckle. "Don't look at me. I do what he does. Just slower."

Winter Soldier

Haha! That's a good Stan Lee cameo. Steve stole the uniform from the museum. Stan Lee comes in as a security officer as see the missing uniform and says, "Oh man. I am so fired."
Ha! "You need to keep both eyes open." (Proceeds to use his other eye to bypass whatever was done)
I didn't even notice them change the first two controller chips (because I wasn't paying that close attention) [the first happens right after Black Widow says, "Are you?"; the second happens before the scene switches to Bucky destroying the air support]

Sharon Carter / Agent 13 (Emily VanCamp)

That's a sick helicopter turn to catch Sam
Hahahaha. "41st floor. 41st floor." "It's not like they put the numbers on the outside of the building."
Gets rid of the patch.

Credits:
Mid credits. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch

left to right: Nick Fury, Sam Wilson, Natasha Romanoff, Steve Rogers, and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders)

[There's a weird bug or behavior on Disney+ where the credits shrink and I'm not allowed to bring them back to full size]
Post credits. Bucky goes to visit the museum to see himself.
"Captain America will return in AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON"

Eternals (2021)

Overview: The Celestial Arishem has sent Eternals to Earth to protect it's inhabitants from creatures called Deviants. However, all is not what it seems.
left to right: Kingo (Kumail Nanjiani), Makkari (Lauren Ridloff), Gilgamesh (Don Lee), Thena (Angelina Jolie), Ikaris (Richard Madden), Ajak (Salma Hayek), Sersi (Gemma Chan), Sprite (Lia McHugh), Phastos (Brian Tyree Henry), and Druig (Barry Keoghan)

20220119 Comment:
Beside the movie lacking much of the humor which positively contributes and balances the action, I have trouble looking past the plot revolving around an energy source generated by intelligent life. One plausible explanation is that, similar to screams or laughter in Monsters, Inc., intelligence is a massive source of energy that far exceeds the energy required to create a solar system.
Instant Comments:
They talk about the Avengers

Ikaris

Some of their powers don't necessarily surpass various heroes on earth... except perhaps that they don't age.
It seems like Druig is controlling these people... I don't necessarily think that's a better alternative [he only sometimes controls them]
Haha. "I've directed some internet content."
Smile. (Not a) Vibranium table
Wasn't there someone who ran fast?
Hahaha such as cowardice

Sprite, Ikaris, Gilgamesh, Thena, Kingo, Karun (Harish Patel), Sersi

Oh the fast one was on the ship.
Excalibur
Twinkies
"I'm not who you think I am" oh true we never heard his confession.
Quite an end for Ikaris (sun)
It is explained how they connect without bracelet: Hehe forced to connect as a property of the emergence
Signs "the kid is 10 not stupid"

Kingo, Sprite, Sersi, Ikaris, Thena, Gilgamesh

If the Celestials are so powerful, I feel like they could farm species more efficiently... like they're after energy... so... just transplant an advanced species capable of energy production. Why reinvent the wheel over and over. Of course the idea that humans can harness more energy than the sun, and that a celestial can create entire galaxies... honestly too far fetched.
If Areshim was able to come why didn't he just stop their meddling to begin with.
Precredits, someone named Eros and Pip.
I don't know who is Mr. Whitman. It almost seemed like the symbiote was on the sword. [Apparently a character named The Black Knight]
