Justice League (2017)

20180423:
I watched this movie today. Overall, it was decent. Unfortunately, most MCU movies are better.

I was transferring old notes and came across notes for this movie. I have no memory of having seen it. While that's not a clear indication that the movie was bad, but I also failed to remember it by the movie poster.

20240125:
Today I started watching this movie not remember that I had seen it already. In any case, about halfway into the movie, I felt what hurts the movie is the amount [...]

Instant Comments:
1: A kid asks Superman, "What's the best thing about planet Earth?"
1: Next up, Batman...
1: "Fear, they can smell it."
1: Hmm. Is Ben Afflect not gonna be Batman in solo movies? That would be weird.
1: A non-butler Alfred?
1: Does Wonder Woman have super speed?
1: "Pretty sure he'll give it to me anyways"
1: "Arthur Curry... the Aquaman"
1: "'Strong man is strongest alone.' You ever heard of that?" "That's not a saying. That's the opposite of what the saying is." [20230216: At face value, it's funny. But today I was curious what Batman could be referring to. There's a quote that reads "A strong man is strongest when alone." The flavor of this quote is different than what Aquaman said. This quote says that given a person is strong, then when alone, he/she will reach or discover the peak of his/her strengths. It does not, however, indicate that a person should be/fight alone. In contrast, Aquaman was indicating to Batman that he would be weaker with teammates]; 2: I started watching this movie and when I got to this scene the trade of dialogue sounded familiar. I thought perhaps another movie used the same exact lines. Going to my blog, it turned out that it was this movie. I totally didn't remember seeing this movie before.
1: So they went with a natural deep voice? Strange.
1: Oh they show the arm movement quickly. I looked away for a blink the first time (Flash)
1: (He also has to mark it light enough)
1: Who the f@#$ is this Steppenwolf character?
1: He was able to leap bounds, they think they could flee on horse?
1: Why is Diana.... oh I think cause she was born a weapon.
1, 2: "We have to light the ancient warning fire." "The fire has not burned for five thousand years. Men won't know what it means." "Men won't. She will."
1: Haha. "Well let's see if she'll take your call." "So it's a she." "It's not a she."; 2: Smile. "It's not a she."
1: Hmm... how did the Amazonians not defend against Steppenwolf?
2: Hmm. Green Lanterns in her story.
1: Smile. "I need friends." "What is brunch?"; 2: Smile. "I need friends."
1: Haha. "What are your super powers again?" "I'm rich."; 2: Smile.
1: Hehe. She knew (the lake); 2: Huh. "If I was going to attack you, I would have done it by the lake."
2: Hmm. It didn't seem like Steppenwolf had to find the first one. Why was the first one free? He seemed to have easily found the second one...
1: "Oh, wow. They just... they really just vanish. Oh, that's rude." - The Flash to Gordon; 2: Ha! After saying it, he basically just vanishes himself.
1: Good advice: "Just save one."
2: I never thought about how Batman has very advanced toys, has guns on his car or other vehicles, but he himself doesn't carry guns.
2: Sorry guys, I didn't bring a sword.
2: Smile. Trips. "Oh, fuck."
2: Smile. "Did he just bail?"
1: "Who in the world will come for us?" Superman?
2: Hehe. She grabs the bug spray.
1: Haha. "Wow! It's like a cave." "Like a Batcave."
2: Huh. Bruce wants to bring back Superman but Diana disagrees
1: Not sure how he conducts electricity but sure...
1, 2: Pet Sematary
2: Ah. They're in the Kryptonian ship and it's just the five of them. Strange that in some cases five is a perfect number for the team, but somehow six in this case would be better. Interestingly, it occurs to me that the original MCU Avengers was also a team of six.
2: HA! "He's confused. He doesn't know who he is." "Pet Sematary."
2: Huh. Clark is able to look at Barry while Barry is running fast.
2: Hehe. A fight in slow mo.
2: Hmm. Earlier Bruce was saying "big guns." Does this mean either Lois or Martha? Maybe both?
1: Hehe the big guns
2: Hehe. "Something is definitely bleeding."
1: Sounded weird: "yes, ma'am"
2: Wait a minute. In the last movie, the dirt on top of the coffin was rising, but that technically was a false hint since he really was dead... [some people think it's just a metaphore while various persons in one Reddit thread hypothesize that
1: Aquaman's soliloquy [haha. he's sitting on the lasso]; 2: I recently watched a YouTube video about "Marvelization of Cinema" where it mentions some moments can be serious and meaningful but there's sometimes cheap humor injected. I don't think this scene counts as that though. It's pretty well constructed with a clear signal about halfway in that the joke has to do with the lasso [though I guess they could have had Aquaman be vulnerable and share his mind]
2: Huh. I think when Batman pops out in the Batmobile, a variation of the classic Danny Elfman Batman theme song is playing - at least that's what it sounds like
2: That was super cool. Aquaman landing down from the sky. But what good is Aquaman on land?
1, 2: "I don't... not..."
2: Superman caught up to Barry
1, 2: Smile: fist bump
1: Bought the whole bank; 2: "I bought the bank"
2: "The whole bank?" "It's like a reflex with me. I don't know."
1: I thought she would refer to the whole team [?]. "all you have to do is look... up in the sky..." (plus more) but she stopped. It was weird. And yet. "The Superman Show"
2: Was that meant to be a double sonic boom?
2: I love that running pose.
Credits: 1: Before credits. Oh Clark. Flying in that race. I read Clark has more of an ability to keep up with Barry by doing that.
1: Luthor & Deathstroke - League of Villains.
