300 (2006)

20180316:
I seldom watch movies which heavily focus on action (e.g., Transformers series, Pacific Rim, 300), but today when I saw the movie in my Netflix My List, my sense of missing out kicked in and decided to finally watch it.

King Leonidas (Gerard Butler)

After finishing the movie, I would say it exceeded my low expectations with respect to it's story. With that being said, it's still an action-oriented movie. A lot of visually-appealing sequences.

Netflix determined the movie for me as a 99% match. I decided to give the movie neither a thumbs up nor a thumbs down.

Instant Comments:
I've heard the quote many times, but this is the first time I really got to see the scene: "This is Sparta!" Lol.

Queen Gorgo (Lena Headey)

22 minute mark: 300 men.
"I wish it were only against me." Doesn't make sense.
That wall on the left seems small and penetrable compared to the size of the army.
The overexaggeration of the arrows. They didn't even group up. Just supposedly angled their shields and not get caught out by any.

Dilios (David Wenham)

From my point of view, each of these soldiers is equivalent to the best warriors in The Lord of the Rings (Legolas, Aragorn, Gimli, etc.). Each manages to kill many of the opposition without dying. Eventually
Not considering the weakness and the overall rejection begins to lead to Leonidas's potential demise.
Oh, I think I saw this scene (Theron tells the Queen he will help her convince the Council in return for sexual favors) once before.

Theron (Dominic West) and King Leonidas

Oh, I also think I saw this scene. Theron will betray the Queen. [Yes, but I forgot the part where she stabs him and he's revealed to be a traitor.][I have no memory of where I might have seen these two scenes.]
Oh, I remember an element of this next scene ends as well. If I'm right, then Leonidas will throw a spear at Xerxes.
