Die Another Day (2002)

I'm not sure. I feel this movie was underwhelming. Perhaps I had bigger expectations, but maybe I have a bad memory of the James Bond franchise. I feel the movie likely hit all the key reasons people watch James Bond movies, at least pre-Daniel Craig. I think I'd much prefer the Daniel Craig versions.

1a: That was a fun fight to watch. Very intense. Like despite the idea to be a slice on the torso, they seemed they were fighting to the death.
1a: Why would the guy holder her hostage not shoot her when confronted with the enemy threatening to shoot?
1a: I had to watch it again to get the joke. Q asked him to read the book, says it might be able to shoot through it in a few hours. But then Bond had it shot by the car and jokes it just took a few seconds.
1a: hmm... falling asleep @ 1h17min mark; was thinking to stop watching but kept going.
1a: I feel like Miranda could be bad. So sending Jinx to go get her would not be good.

1b: even without a guy... she could... steer the plane to knock her off her feet and then fight... but maybe risky.
1b: interesting... she's setting the autopilot to the beam. earlier I was thinking she was going to intentionally fly into it as a bluff for the villain to then turn it off
1b: am I to believe a world's best fencer is going to lose this fight?
