While I've seen bits and pieces of the spin-off television show, this was my first time watching the film, and overall I thought it was a decent movie. Though between itself and Mean Girls (2004), I would recommend Mean Girls as the better movie.

Upon writing this entry, I learned the film is loosely basted on Jane Austen's novel Emma. I also learned that the character Tai was played by Brittany Murphy.

Haha, pagers.
"Woman, why aren't you answering any of my pages?"

"Oh, I'm not a virgin."

"That Polonius guy did." (so her [ex] step-brother's girlfriend acts as a foil in terms of intellect, while she's book smart, her intellect is not flawless: Cher is able to correct the quote attribution via her movie knowledge)

Talking with the bartender... Dancing with the guy...
Plops entire roll of cookies down.
Tony Curtis.
He covers her feet. (Poor Cher...)
