The movie starts with some scientists trying to follow strange astronomical occurrences.

Then the stories jumps to Thor and Loki as kids and their father Odin. As king of Asgard, Odin tells them that one day one of them will take over and be king. Immediately, we see Thor is hungry with the desire to fight and conquer.

When they are grown, Thor is almost throned king by his father. The Frost Giants, however, have invaded and the ceremony is interrupted. An angered Thor seeks to battle the Frost Giants and travels with his friends to the Jotunheim where the Frost Giants reside.

Thor's careless actions basically have caused a war. For this, his father and still king strips Thor of his powers and exiles him to earth. Odin also takes the hammer and bestows an enchantment that says only one who is worthy may take it.

This returns the viewer back to the beginning of the story where the scientists have crashed their car into Thor. Worried, they take him to the hospital where he eventually awakens and leaves. During this time, Thor displays a great deal of strength, albeit muscular strength as opposed to power-based strength.

Meanwhile, the hammer has landed not so far away and nobody is able to pull it out. We also see Agent Coulson of S.H.I.E.L.D. arrive at the scene.

Back on Asgard, Loki discovers he's a Frost Giant and soon afterwards, his adoptive father goes into a deep sleep to recover his strength. With Thor exiled to Earth, Loki becomes king and it becomes apparent that he manipulated Thor into causing chaos and knew his father would reprimand Thor's actions.

Eventually Thor fights his way into the landing site and comes to the realization that he can't pull the hammer up.

It seems reasonable that Thor will eventually become worthy to wield his hammer once more, but will he return to Asgard? If so, will he be able to stop his adoptive brother Loki?

20130729:
Out of the six movies in Phase One of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Thor was the last movie I saw and possibly my least favorite. However, based on what I had to say about The Incredible Hulk, it's possible that I would like Thor better The Incredible Hulk.

I found the plot flimsy and the action was uninteresting. On the plus side, I went into the movie expecting a terrible one, and relative to my expectations, the film was okay.

While comparatively boring to other Phase One movies, the film serves an important role as a lead-in to The Avengers. Thus, if you plan on watching The Avengers or have watched The Avengers without having seen Thor, then I would recommend watching Thor. I should note that I probably wouldn't watch the film again unless it was part of a Phase One marathon.

The actor playing the scientist portrayed Prof. Gerald Lambeau in Good Will Hunting (1997).
"I'll have another!" Throws cup on floor.
References Bruce Banner/The Hulk at 47 minutes.
Southwest Airlines named. Reminds me of McDonald's being used in Iron Man.
Hawkeye makes an appearance.
"Do not mistake my appetite for apathy!"
His friends and the three humans look so silly standing there watching as Thor walks towards the machine to die.
"Whoever holds this hammer, should he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor."
So cheesy: "Oh. My. God."
"Well I guess that's worth a look."

Credits:
Dr. Sevlig shows up to meet Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D. We also see Loki in the mirror and he has the doctor say a few words.

Trailers:
Note that while the thumbnails which show up (at least in my web browser) are fuzzy, the trailers themselves are clear. I wish the movie was as cool as the first trailer makes it seem.

HISHEdotcom:
I love the superhero cafe conversation near the end.

Batman: Your dad is sort of extreme.
Thor: Well, I suppose he's a little strict, but everything he does he does for a reason.
Superman: Like stealing a baby?
Batman: And then raising that baby as your brother?
Superman: And making him believe he could be king?
Batman: So that he goes crazy with jealousy and becomes your life-long enemy?

Life Is Beautiful (1997)

Partial Plot Summary:
The first third of the movie is about a man named Guido who's come to work for his uncle. Things are happy and Guido is always joking and having fun. While in the city, he meets a woman named Dora who he's run into several times.

"Buongiorno, Principessa!"

Eventually, Guido and Dora spend a joyful evening together and seem to get along well, but Dora is with someone already. In fact, she's engaged to an official whom Guido angered earlier in the story. In any case, eventually Dora and Guido are united and end up having a son, who's portrayed as being quite intelligent.

The dilemma comes at the onset of World War II, as the Jews are rounded up and sent to concentration camps. Among those rounded up include Guido, his son Joshua, and Guido's uncle. While Dora is not a Jew, she immediately comes to the train station upon learning what has happened and requests to get on the train along with her family. Again, while she is not a Jew, she is allowed to board the train and is placed in the camp.

Unfortunately, the women and men are placed in separate quarters, and Guido doesn't get to see her during the duration of the camp. He, however, makes his presence known through two separate gestures.

In any case, while the first part of the plot was about Guido and Dora, the arrival at the concentration camp dominantly becomes a story between father and son. Much like using predictable events in order to court Dora, Guido uses the dangers of the camp to turn the situation into a game and keep his son Joshua alive.

For example, due to their lack of labor production, the elderly and the children were among the first to be killed. Consequently, Guido tells Joshua that in order to get points in the game, he must stay hidden and keep quiet.

While the game is a great idea, will it be enough to keep Joshua alive? And what of Guido and Dora, will the find themselves in each other's arms once more? You'll have to watch the movie to find out.

"Buongiorno, Principessa!"

20130728:
While the theme of the movie is naturally heavy, the movie as a whole is generally positive and happy. In fact, I find the movie, in some sense, to be quite magical and it's a delight to watch the character Guido and his imagination and humor bring joy to those around him.

When you're in the mood for a heavier movie, then you should definitely check this one out.

Instant Comments:
This movie, at least about thirty minutes into the film, is hilarious.
"I can only hear out of one ear."
Oh wow, it comes together.
"Buongiorno, Principessa!"
Very cute... the entire evening sequence between him and her.
The plot becomes more serious at the 37 minute mark with the horse. At this point, it becomes evident that the violence earlier in the film was intentional. Our protagonist, however, remains lighthearted.
Dora's the only one startled by the topic of the problem as opposed to the difficulty.
How cute: the kid hiccups like his mom.
So powerful a love: "I want to get on that train!"

A martial artist Hung Hei-Kwun comes home to find his village has been attacked and all but his son is left. With the government after Hung, he gives the baby a choice between a toy horse and a his sword, symbolizing death and a life of fighting, respectively. As the child chose the sword, Hung raises his son and teaches him martial arts.

Seven years later, we see the Shaolin master tattooing portions of a treasure map onto the back of five young Shaolin students. One of the students's father is a rich man, who sees Hung Hei-Kwun fight and wishes to hire him. Having run out of money, Hung Hei-Kwun accepts the job of becoming the man's body guard.

At the same time, the rich man pays for a woman who wishes to bury her supposed dead mother. In truth, the woman and mother are a pair of thieves who look to scam rich men for their money.

Eventually the government, looking for the map pieces, attacks the Shaolin temple. Fortunately, the four kids still at the temple escape to meet their friend and hide there. Then, through a display of superior martial arts, Hung's son befriends them.

Later in the story, the government intercept a message and come looking for the children at the rich man's home. Because they're friends, the young master looks to save his brothers.

20130728:
This film has some standard fight sequences and is balanced out with the occasional light humor.

Much of the humor is due Deannie Yip who plays Red Bean's mother. Apparently Yip also starred in Dragons Forever (1988) which stars Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, and Biao Yuen.

Overall, it's a decent action film.

Instant Comments:
This sort of martial arts is nostalgic. Plenty of kung-fu series on VHS when I was a kid. Also same sound effects.

Lol. She blows on it. It's thin.

Lol. The mom acting as a ghost was hilarious.
Hahahaha. They beat up the mom.
"Robbery!" "Remove your pants!"
"Will you marry me, yes or no?" "Yes"
"I can tell your wish you want to sleep with this man."
The mom is the funniest.
Some of the translation is funny. Twice Jet Li says "bullshit" and at one point a man says "bitch."

The movie starts with a father and son who are sitting on a boat and both tied to a weight. Then, after some moments, the two take a plunge and it looks as if the father intends to have them both killed.

A scene later, however, we see they didn't succeed in dying. We learn the father, Wang Xinchang (Jet Li), works at the aquarium as a electrician and his son Dafu comes with him. We also see that Dafu is a good swimmer.

Diagnosed with autism, Dafu's symptoms include the desire to keep things organized to his particular desire. For example, Dafu always places his stuffed-animal on top of the television, despite his dad's insistence it not be placed there. Dafu also tends to walk making orthogonal turns.

In any case, while Xincheng isn't the most understanding towards Dafu's autism, the situation is complicated by the fact that he himself has been diagnosed with late-term liver cancer and doesn't have much time left to live. As such, he is faced with figuring out who will take care of Dafu, in addition to teach Dafu some basic skills.

On a slightly more lighthearted side of the story, Dafu befriends a circus performer, a female juggler by the name of Lingling.

What sort of father is Xincheng and what will become of Dafu? Watch the movie and find out!

20130727:
Despite having clicked play, I had no idea what this movie was going to be about. Interestingly, the movie I had considered watching immediately prior to choosing this one was Of Mice and Men (1992). This plot, however, is much more depressing than the plot to Of Mice and Men.

While I have not watched Of Mice and Men recently, I have seen Rain Man (1988) recently (half on 20130619 and half on 20130803). While Ocean Heaven and Rain Man differentiate on the underlying plot, the two both have a character with autism and the difficulties in trying to change their routines. As a whole, I found the plot of Ocean Heaven much more focused and plausible than Rain Man. Mainly for this reason, I like Ocean Heaven more than Rain Man.

I would recommend this movie to just about anybody, but I should note that the viewer be in the mood for something serious and touching, but in a sad, bittersweet sort of way.

20130903:
Looking through the screenshots today (20130903), I was reminded by some of the sad moments, some of the happy moments, and some of the mixed emotional moments the film had to offer.

The movie starts off with an unknown village and we see some people monitoring a chase. It turns out Data has gone rogue and Captain Picard is informed of the situation.

Apparently, coming to retrieve Data is quite an adventure for the Enterprise crew who've recently been dealing with "international relations." Upon arriving and retrieving Data, the crew begin to discover something fishy is going on. Searching a lake on the planet, Data and Picard find a hidden holodeck which is set to look like the Ba'ku Village. The captain deduces someone must have wanted to beam the Ba'ku villagers to the holodeck and then take them away from the planet. The reason, however, is yet to be clear.

After a couple of days, the crew learn that everyone's metabolic states are improved. To confirm this, Picard asks the villagers how old they are and learns the adults are around 300 years old. As the story develops, it's up to the Enterprise crew to stop the Son'a from activating a device that would harness the power of the planet for everlasting life, yet render the planet uninhabitable.

The crew take advantage of the fact that the Son'a plan to beam the Ba'ku off the planet before activating the injector. One group begins moving the Ba'ku to caves in the mountain while another group tries to send a transmission to the Federation. Desperate to get the injector working, eventually Ru'afo, one of Son'a, is willing to kill anybody left on the planet.

Aside from not spoiling the rest of the movie, I also omitted many details.

20130727:
I can say that I never really watched the television series Star Trek (in particular Star Trek: The Next Generation which ran from 1987-1994) growing up, because I think I was still too young to understand what was going on. In contrast, I was around the right age to enjoy Hercules: The Legendary Journeys (1995-1999, starring Kevin Sorbo) and it's spin-offs, Xena: Warrior Princess (1995-2001, starring Lucy Lawless) and Young Hercules (1998-1999, starring Ryan Gosling).

Regardless, I consider watching the movies to be a nice little sample of a long series which I don't want to watch any time soon. Overall, this was a fun movie.

New Girl

20170303:
I haven't entirely gone in order and I came up with a couple of different choices as far as notation. With the few times that I've actually made a second pass through a television series (e.g. Futurama and Bob's Burgers) then that's when I'll preface entries with "2:". In contrast, there have been incidences here where I may have seen an episode twice, but technically speaking it's just the first pass.

In the end, I felt like using "A", "B", and "C"; I first watched episodes marked "A", then "B", and then "C".

Season 1 Episode 1 Pilot
B: Ha. They introduced the jar from the start.
B: Time of my life.
B=20130822*
*I mainly watched this episode while playing League of Legends. I've already seen a couple of the episodes in the middle of the season (S01E08, S01E09, S01E10) with a friend, so that put my foot in the door in terms of watching this show. The first episode did a good job of making the characters interesting and likable.

Season 1 Episode 2 Kryptonite
B: Hahaha. Punching the pillow.
B: What's happening is this is a great song.
B=20130822*
*I was watching the first part of this episode while playing League of Legends.

Season 1 Episode 3 Wedding
B: The actress playing Gretchen is in Orange is the New Black! (Natasha Lyonne)
B: Hahahaha! "Oh, and don't break Schmidt's heart, or you'll have me to deal with."
B=20130822*
*So after being helped with her own relationship problem, this episode revolves around Jess helping Nick with one of his relationship problems.

Season 1 Episode 4 Naked
B: Ha. "That guy's gonna blow himself up."
B: Ha. I like her reaction upon seeing him naked.
B: "I accidentally saw Nick's pee-pee and his bubbles."
B: Haha! "I have a travel size."
B: Hahahahaha. "I'm Jess. Welcome to our home."
B: Smile. "Even my gumbo pot?"
B=20130822

Season 1 Episode 5 Cece Crashes
B: [In a deep voice] "Like what? I'm just hanging out"
B: Haha! He herded her towards his room.
B: "Parkour!"
B: Hahahaha. "Apolo... Ohno..." as he skates away.
B: Huh. So I mean it seemed like Nick liked Jess in the first episode, but then not so much so in episodes 3 and 4. Then it's brought up by Cece in this episode.
B: Walter Matthau
B=20130823*
*So far the episodes are solid and Zooey Deschanel is a lot of fun to watch.

Season 1 Episode 6 Thanksgiving
B: "And I don't want to hear Schmidt, Schmidt, you're using too much tarragon."
B=20130823*
*This episode was alright. I think the conflict between Nick and Paul (Justin Long) seemed a bit overdone.

Season 1 Episode 7 Bells
B=20130823*
*This episode wrapped up alright.

Season 1 Episode 11 Jess and Julia
B: Aww. "You can't monopolize the bathroom crying space."
B,C: "And my checks have baby farm animals on them, bitch!"
B: Hahahahaha. "Winston, what's happening?"
B: Aww... what a cute ending.
B: Hahahahaha. Ridiculous. Hahahaha. HAHAHA. First the realization that they've been using the same towel. Then that Nick never washes his towels. And to top it off. He wears his roommate's underpants. Well, maybe he's being sarcastic, but it didn't seem like it. C: That ending is just perfect.
B=Watched once before*, C=20160815
*Probably 20130823; Huh. Episode 6 was Nick not getting along with Jess's date. Now Jess isn't getting along with Nick's date. Though to be fair, Paul was nice and Julia seems mean.

Season 1 Episode 12 The Landlord
B: HAHAHAHA! C: "Alright. So you want me to... 'sort'... your files?"
B: That was quite a surprise.
B: Rusted Root - Send Me on My Way.
B: "Alright. I am not ready for a 4-way."

C: Hahahaha. That conversation.
C: "What is this? Martin Scorsese's Wizard of Oz?"

Sherlock

20180601:
I watched the documentary Unlocking Sherlock today and I decided to review my current notes on the series. What I found interesting was that the notes below didn't mention any prior viewings. However, I recall having seen the first episode of the first series at least once before, possibly twice, and I probably saw the second episode of the first series once before as well.

Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch), S1E1

[20181120 Edit]

20180610: Today I watched the first episode of Sherlock with Ada.

20190316: I watched the second episode with Ada.

20190401: Today I started watching the third episode of Sherlock with Ada. But she stopped watching about halfway and I couldn't stop.

Series 1 Episode 1: A Study in Pink [loosely botn A Study in Scarlet]
Plot Points:
A: Starts off with Watson. Introduces his backstory a bit: John Watson, military, depressed, unadjusted to civilian life
A: Then mystery
A: Then we move to Sherlock who is shown to be observant.
A: Then a common friend of Sherlock and Watson have them meet. We further see Sherlock's keen observation and skills of deduction.
A: At one point John ditches his cane. He, however, doesn't even realize it until returning to the home.

Dr. John Watson (Martin Freeman), S1E1

Instant Comments:
A: lol wrong. Seems like something House would do. [20170502: I'm not sure I knew then that HOUSE, M.D. is based on Sherlock Holmes]
A: "I was able to help out." "You stopped her husband from being executed?" "Oh, no, I ensured it."
A: "Who cares Mrs. Hudson. The game, Mrs. Hudson, is on!"
A: "Dear God! What must it be like in your funny little brains? It must be so boring!"
A: Her warning to Watson would be useful to most people, but at the same time, Watson, due to his condition, benefits from Holmes's craziness.
A: Eventually a character makes this clear: "You're not haunted by the war, Dr. Watson, you miss it. Welcome back. Time to choose a side Dr. Watson."
B: Haha. Watson's interaction with the girl in the car upon arriving at 221B.
A: Hahaha. "It's a three-patch problem.", 2: Haha. Three patch problem.
A: "Oh. Which one?"
A: Hahahaha. "Pity, we could have split the fee. Think it through next time."
A: "And I said 'dangerous' and here you are."

A Study in Pink, S1E1

A: Ha. That internal road choice deduction was ridiculously cool.
B: Wait, I'm confused, Sherlock knew the luggage was in a taxi. So why didn't he figure it was the taxi driver. Oh wait, maybe he just deduced that it was placed in a car, not in a taxi.
A: "Because Sherlock Holmes is a great man! And some day, if I'm very very lucky, he'll even be a good one." 2: "And because Sherlock Holmes is a great man. And I think one day, if we're very, very lucky, he might be a good one." [I'll need to check this quote]
A: "Oh I see. So you're a proper genius too."
A: Why wouldn't both be poison?
A: Either way to Holmes, it's not a game, because it's just a 50-50 choice.
B: Sherlock realizes the person he was describing was probably Watson. Prior to the realization, Sherlock says the shot came from a hand gun, but the distance from which the gun was fired means the shooter was a fighter with a steady hand, used to violence, and had a strong moral principle; likely someone with a history of military service and nerves of steel.
B: When Mycroft shows at the end, Ada asks, "Is that his brother?"
A=1=20130724, B=2=20180610 9:30PM PT

DI Lestrade (Rupert Graves), S1E1

Series 1 Episode 2: The Blind Banker
Plot Points:
A: A museum worker is frightened by something she sees and immediately stops coming to work.
A: Then Sherlock goes to see about some graffiti at a bank.
A: His old friend hires him to figure out how the person got in and out bypassing the security.
A: Sherlock picks up a name from the bank and follows it finding the person has been murdered.
A: Later there is another murder with a similar pattern. The deduction is the murderer is able to scale the building.
A: The pair are looking to decipher the graffiti, which at the least they figure is some sort of code. Furthermore, all the numbers come in pairs which suggests its a word cipher, using a book.
A: Eventually the investigation leads to the museum worker we saw at the beginning.
A: She explains she used to be part of a smuggling ring when she was back in China but she since fled and came to London. Hoping to have been forgotten, she was recently contacted and the ring requested information from her. She refused to help and now they're after her. The pair try to keep her safe, but fail and she is murdered.
A: Omitting how the specific mystery resolves, the episode as a whole ends with a mysterious correspondent going by the name of M, Moriarty. He kills the local Chinese woman who was in charge.

Instant Comments:
A: Haha. Watson got in a fight with the register while Sherlock got in a fight with a man.
A: HAHAHAHAHA. I laughed so hard. Sherlock was spinning Watson around trying to make sure Watson's visual memory wouldn't disappear. 2: This didn't entirely make sense. Watson was so upset that it was covered up when he had already taken a picture of it. He could have just shown the picture to Sherlock straight away.
A: That's a dedicated scholar. To come in to take care of her teapots.
A, B: I don't understand why they just didn't stay with the girl. 2: On the other hand, Watson told her to lock the door behind him, but she did not. [Later it is revealed she was trying to decipher the code. She still could have locked the door.]
A: LOL. "While I'm trying to get off with Sarah."
B: Ada said Sherlock could have just knocked over the chair. I thought similarly... she herself may have been able to topple the chair over. Unless it was too heavy.
B: I found the interrogation silly. I feel there should exist a point when the interrogator knows whether or not the person being interrogated is lying. In this particular situation, they've been watching both Sherlock and John. First, why did they target Sherlock? Second, they have been following them and should know whether or not John/Sherlock have found the treasure.

Instant Comments:
Aa: Lol. A man is begging Holmes to help him and Sherlock keeps correcting the man to the very end. "Hanged, yes."
Aa: "Bored!"
Aa: "A study in pink." References the real title of the episode.
Aa: Lol. Sherlock didn't know or possibly remember that the Earth revolves around the sun. But Sherlock takes the approach of not filling his head with frivolous details. There's some truth in Holmes philosophy.
Aa: I never thought about how Sherlock's puzzle-solving ability creates the problems.
Aa: "Gay." Aww.
Ab: Resumed the show at 28 minutes.

Mycroft Holmes (Mark Gatiss)

Ab, B: I love that, "You see, but you don't observe!"
B: Investing
B: Watson: "S-so, you scratch their backs and..." Holmes: "Yes, and then disinfect myself."
B: The women tells Sherlock the name: Moriarty
B: Oh, it's Jim.
Ab: Ah, clever portrayal of Moriarty.
B: Exciting cliffhanger. I don't remember the resolution. [Later I gave it some thought and figured the most likely resolution is that Sherlock called Inspector Lestrade, or better yet Mycroft, to provide backup.]

Instant Comments:
Aa: Wow, the ending of the last episode was just too big a cliffhanger not to watch the first episode of the next series.
Aa: But after watching the first couple minutes. I happily paused it.
Ab: Ha! "I think my husbands having an affair." "Yes."
Ab: "All live end. All hearts are broken. Caring is not an advantage, Sherlock."
Ab: Meh. That's what Mycroft gets for not giving his brother all the information.
B: I didn't remember the ending (in particular, the fate of Irene Adler). As such, I read this on StackExchange: Is Irene Adler alive?. After I got the answer, I watched it on YouTube.

A: A couple. Crash landed here in the '60s. We call them Abbott and Costello.
A: I didn't quite follow why John hallucinated if it wasn't the sugar. After some searching, it seems that there might have been pipes leaking the gas.

Series 2 Episode 3: The Reichenbach Fall [inspired by tn The Final Problem]

Instant Comments:
D: Huh. I don't remember this. "Sherlock... he's dead." Unless it's just the opening to an episode that will be told as a flashback.
D: "Three months earlier..."
D: Hehe. The classic Sherlock look
D: Wow. So cold. "You repel me."
D: "Two minutes would have made me an expert. Five was ample."
D: Lol. Put in jail for contempt
D: WTF. It's only obvious to Sherlock that Moriarty is in jail on purpose?
D: Watson's worry doesn't make sense. Prior to committing the crimes, Moriarty was a free man and could have already gone after Sherlock. Part of the whole situation should in part be putting Sherlock into the news in a bad light
D: "IOU"
D: What exactly is it that has her stay and help Sherlock?
D: Interesting. Lol. Molly pulls a little bit of Sherlock. Identifying that Sherlock stops pretending to look happy when John isn't looking
D: Homeless people network.
D: Sherlock smiles at the clever use of mercury
D: "No charge"
D: "Watch out" (dies)
D: Wow. Very clever of Moriarty. And I would say I was right in that his aim was ruining Sherlock from a media point of view - but I'm sure most viewers would have guessed the same because that was the direction of the plot
D: Huh. Didn't see that as being part of the story. Mycroft was responsible for divulging secrets about Sherlock to Moriarty.
D: I'm not sure this part of the game makes sense. At this point he's just blackmailing Sherlock into commiting suicide, and there's nothign clever about that.
D: Um... wow. That was something... Moriarty shoots himself. Does it make sense? Sherlock has a strong reaction so... I feel that unlikely it is fake. Though I suppose even Sherlock is susceptible to being tricked.
D: Based on the beginning of the episode, John says Sherlock is dead. He could have meant it figuratively, but let's assume he meant it literally. Sherlock couldn't really be dead. So if Sherlock can fake his death (especially because he asked Molly for help), I don't see why Moriarty also couldn't fake his death.
D: I'm wondering if it's possible for Sherlock to survive that fall and for Molly to assist in helping him afterwards.
D: "Say it now." "No."
D: Hehe. "Don't be dead." While for a normal person that'd be wishful thinking, perhaps there's a part of him that suspects it would be the case.
D: The camera pans to Sherlock! (I thought he would have showed up behind John or something. That would have a much different effect.) D=1=20230120

Season 3 Episode 1: The Empty Hearse

Instant Comments:
D: Huh. That wouldn't make sense that Sherlock only needed to fool John. I thought he had to kill himself for the assassins who were watching.
D: Smile. Oh okay. It appears we just watched a theory of how Sherlock must have pulled it off
D: "Took me a couple of hours." "You're slipping."
D: Hahaha. Mrs. Hudson and Watson conversation ending with "Sherlock was not my boyfriend."
D: Hehe. "Well surprise me." "I'm certainly endeavoring to, Sir."
D: Somewhat out of range for Sherlock, but perhaps a fitting change: "Are you really going to keep that?" (even Watson's significant other breaks a smile)
D: Smile. Twenty-five at most.
D: I had to go back. Words I really saw: "only child," "shortsighted," "nurse," and "secret tattoo". Words that I didn't see: "clever," "part time," "linguist," "liar", "lover," "guardian," "own," "Dem," "12", "disillusioned," "Lib," "bakes," and "romantic."
D: How could Sherlock get a name wrong? (he said "Graham" instead of "Greg")
D: Hehe. This theory was funny
D: Hmm. I get the outcome Sherlock was going for with the game of deduction, but the conversation went so fast I didn't fully follow it logically. Perhaps it was less logical anyhow
D: Haha. "Have dinner" vs "Solve crimes."
D: Hahaha. He whispers to himself something John would have said. Poor Molly.
D: Molly says, "Why would someone go through all that trouble?" and Sherlock replies "Why indeed, John."
D: Sherlock sifting through his photographic memory is a neat visual
D: "After all, not all the men you fall for can turn out to be sociopaths."
D: Oh he ended up proposing after all ("I'm his fiancee")
D: His parents? [Yes]
D: Is this finally it? The reveal?
D: I don't quite get it. Who was monitoring to see if Sherlock died (to inform the people who would be shooting John and Mrs. Hudson) and wouldn't that person have been the one Sherlock would need to convince? [Smile. It seems Anderson is going crazy][So I looked up if the show would ever reveal what happened and it seems the answer is no.]

Season 3 Episode 2:

Instant Comments:
Seems like... he should have just called Sherlock (the progression is these bad guys keep alluding him)
hehe... I feel like if it's Sherlock calling... there's no situation
hehe. just asking for help with a speech.
smile. "High functioning sociopath. With your number."
It's interesting how he has almost supernatural powers of deduction but certain types of logic (such as Mycroft suggesting Sherlock not get involved or John asking him to be his best man) elude him
Ha. He has a list of who hates her ready
Haha. Mary gives a thumbs up to them both, with neither seemingly aware that she kind of double ran them
Oh no! Unsolved
Smile. Scheduled, but Watson tips the scale
Wait. Did she say she just dated him once?
Chuckle. "The game is something." "On"
huh. wonder if Mrs. Watson's bad marriage is foreshadowing
This presentation of having women sit down and how it reveals itself to be him chatting to multiple people is cool
No solution to the ghost mystery?
Huh. Why did he drop the glass. Solving a mystery? Maybe he identified the photographer
Hehe. Three
Hehe. This episode was like Sherlock at his nicest

Season 3 Episode 3:
Rather strange exposition. It shows he can find pressure points with his glasses but he doesn't use the informaiton during the opening
Chuckle. Sherlock is there
HAHA! "And I further deduce..."
Hehe. Janine
Sheryl
They flashed Watson's profile too quickly. Porn Preference: Normal. His siter and wife are listed as his pressure points.
Sherlock has a list of pressure points
Ruthless.
Hehe. A lot of thinking to decide to fall backwards (mind palace)
Moriarty in his mind palace. Runs to it to help deal with the pain
Huh. Why didn't Mary go through with killing Magnussen
Wow. What a trick. (the "dummy")
"Lord Smallwood suicide"
Kind of strange how Sherlock is the one calming Watson with Mary not saying anything
Oh right. He left the hsopital
Wow. What a twist. In his eyes. Either built in or contacts
But if Sherlock knew he was reading with his stare, then he should have deduced this instead of simply being surprised about the spectacles
Wonder what Sherlock would do after gaining access to Appledore
It's revealed that Magnussen Wow. What a twist. Mind palace.
Somewhat unexpected. And yet a straightforward answer.
Lady Smallwood...
Smile. "Sherlock is actually a girl's name"
Hehe. The reveal at the end of the episode. ("Did you miss me?")

Season 3 Episode 4:
Hehe. Votes for Women. For or against
Hehe. "It is never twins."
Hehe. Watson reveals that he knows she's a woman pretending to be a man, and he also implies that Sherlock is oblivious to it.
Did people have these mazes for entertainment?
Hehe. Tricked him. "Never mentioend she was a woman."
Smile. "The game is afoot."
Chuckle. "I'm sure he was exaggerating."
"It's not the fall. It's the landing."
Sherlock says he went back to 1985 in order to help solve the case; 1985
"Did you make a list?"
Hehe. Now it's been flipped. Past Sherlock is suggesting he imagined himself in the future
hehe. "You're Sherlock Holmes, wear the damn hat."
smile. Just runs right in
Hehe. Mary Watson finds the location on her phone despite Mycroft saying it would take a long time
Sherlock alludes to Molly Hooper finding a substitute body for him!
"Between you and me, John, I always survive the fall." "But how?" "Elementary my dear Watson."
Hehe. So many layers of Mind Palace. He went to dig up Emelia and then was actually still on the plane.
Hehe. Back in the past.

Season 4 Episode 1:
I relistened to the story and it made more sense. Some element of fate where in the merchant thought he was able to escape his fate but just ran into it. Initially I didn't understand how that relates to Sherlock, but I think Sherlock realizes rather than to run from "Death" (i.e., Moriarty), he can just wait for the appointment [I looked it up and the telling of the story is a little different]
Hehe. "It's never twins."
I shook from the broken glass after Sherlock left Mycroft's office
I don't understand what Sherlock was telling this guy about being on the run
Holy shit. He thought the bust would be hiding the black pearl and instead finds Mary's thumb drive (which we saw John burn in the other episode). Six also these busts were supposedly made a long time ago...
So he hid in the bust, but who wuold have filled the bust with the drive in it...
Well the positive twist is that he meant by "Tell her she's a dead woman walking" in that someelse is after her and in fact Ajay is trying to protect her... Though why would he be so aggresive if that wwas the case
I'm curious in theory how does one run by going through different identities; I imagine Sherlock would find Mary
Right. That was the dice. She was changing randomly.
He talks about loyalty but wants to kill her
Interesting. Wouldn't think he'd have been that kind of person
The thing is though... Sherlock would likely pick up on John having an affair so
I guess a possible twist is the person who is trying to meet John is a bad person
Hmm. John didn't get a text from Sherlock... that could be his undoing
She stuck her hand in the purse
Huh. Mary took the bullet.
Oh what. John did get a message from Sherlock to come to the aquarium.
What is Norbury again?

Season 4 Episode 2:
trippy. he sees Mary
this therapist is a bit spooky.
chuckle. "well now. wont you introduce me"
my feeling as he gathers them is he'll koll them
how deranged. he wants to tell them something only to have them forget... what's the purpose
huh we are seeing her write stuff down... seems like a flaw with his plan for them to forget
huh. I guess the reason is probably he has to tell them so they can respond and interact with him on something he needs
smile. in the trunk
hehe watson questions how mrs hudson has a nice car
hehe sherlock anticipated watson would require molly
mrs hudson said game is afoot
ha! she thought it was sherlock's blog written by sherlock. and when sherlock confirms its by watson she throws in a jab about the decline in quality
i wonder if sherlock would risk actually having the tube run into his arm and dying for john to save him or if well he would have the tube not in his arm
ha! saline. ok well that's also a good switch. I was close.
ha. "why not? given your alternative"
whoa. triple reveal. the therapist first lets on she was the fake faith, then reveals she was the one who he was having an affair with, and finally that she was the secret sibling. I think I did call that the person meeting Watson was up to no good [yes, I wrote "I guess a possible twist is the person who is trying to meet John is a bad person"]

Season 4 Episode 3:
Smile. "Still had 10 minutes to go."
Baker Street will be the answer of course. [yes]
Redbeard is revealed here
In previous episode Sherringford was on his notepad
Mycroft claims whover they met it can't have been Eurus
Epic escape through the windows.
What? He asks "Where is Sherlock Holmes?" only to soon after say "No, he's not. He's here."
Sherlock disguised. Does this agent know?
Huh. Watson figured out this agent has been compromised by Eurus
This Eurus doesn't have differently colored eyes. Or is it that she only removed the contacts from one eye and not yet the other?
Wow. No glass.
Moriarty. Is this a flashback or the present? I would think the past
The rules were clear. The governor killing himself invalidates saving his wife.
Yeah. Eurus sticks to the rules.
Hehe. "She's very clever." "I'm beginning to think you're not."
Intense. Well done tension. ("I love you")
I would interpret shoot as injure or nick, doesn't mean kill? I don't think she specified kill. Let me rewind [She did say kill the other]
I'm trying to think if he has a way out of killing his brother, even though it seems both have come to the conclusion that should be the case. Because the previous experiment suggested that when Sherlock played the game, that Eurus deemed he lost. But in that case she sees he lost on account of his emotions. I wonder if kill can be interpreted differently. Or perhaps this situation could have been anticipated and Mycroft could be rigged with a vest that will fake bleed.
Holy shit. The reveal on Redbeard
Wow. The plane
Smile. "Thanks, Greg."
I wonder if they're just playing or if they're speaking through their violin playing
Hmm... well... not quite a bang. But... I suppose no better way to wrap up the show.

While reading The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck for high school was interesting, watching the movie without having to think about what each character represents was a relief. With that being said, I couldn't help but be reminded of the symbolism connected with the character Jim Casy and the family's jalopy.
